Wyoming vs. SDSU

laxwyo - I already started, looking ugly at the free throw line and on our threes - I think our D is good, but we have no offense.

Between missing free throws and settling for 3's and missing them we are hurting ourselves. The defense especially from the big guys has been great tonight. Just not knocking shots down.

I've already started drinking, but Josh is looking GREAT - love what he is doing on National TV for himself and the Wyoming program.

Don't give up yet people. I'm a little concerned though, that we will have to beat SDSU as well as the refs tonight.

Wyoming has to avoid SDSU in the tournament if they want a slim chance of winning it. Wyoming is simply too unathletic to compete with SDSU.

Its not about unathletic, its about fundamentals and tonight we didn't hit our free throws. I think we can beat SDSU but like last year it will be a 2 point win if we do - SDSU has to make mistakes.

Can we give this kid a limit on posts? Maybe something like 1 post per hour? He's spamming the board and even responding to his own threads.

Ok DVDA, I'll retire from posting until Saturday - as of right now. The board is all yours, until then Go Pokes, see you Saturday around noon.

Never Quit Pokes, a lot of basketball left.

I actually think Wyoming would have a better chance against SDSU a third time than they would against Boise St.

With the Aztecs you might get them when they hit a cold spell. I watched Boise last night and Drimic is starting to play now like he is capable of and with him playing like that and their other offensive weapons I don't see Wyoming having any shot of beating them or keeping up with their scoring.

Best case would be to get the #7 seed and get to play Fresno St. in the quarters in my opinion but if not that then I would rather play SDSU a third time. If we get the #6 seed and have to play Boise we will get ran out of the building in my opinion.

Boise is just as capable of going cold except they don't have the athleticism and defense of SDSU. Boise has a fat turd that launches threes at center and a highly overrated power forward who is too passive to be a factor in most games. They are one of the few teams in the league that Wyoming isn't blown out of the water by their front court on any given night. Obviously Wyoming doesn't have a chance against SDSU or Boise if they're on, but they're more likely to compete with Boise if both teams are playing average basketball for their standards. I will take a shootout with Boise any day of the week over McManamen being a non-factor against SDSU.

I don't even know where to start. SDSU plays a great brand of thug basketball and gets way too many calls. The black guy didn't call a foul on SDSU all night. Part of the way to beat SDSU is get them in foul trouble since they play so physical but that didn't happen tonight, especially in the second half. Last thing I have to say is Steve Fischer needs to hang it up. Larry Shyatt could take that team to the elite 8 and Steve will be lucky to get them out of the first round.

The refs called the game poorly, but FT shooting killed us. I'm proud of how we played on the interior. Naughton and Herndon stepped up. Lieberman looked four steps slow compared to their thoroughbreds and I don't see what Gorski brings to the table. Let's just flush this game and get on to the next one.

Shepherd just dominated Jason on both ends. Jason couldn't get a shot off against him or their length in general and was overmatched trying to guard him down low. Yeah the refs sucked and that charge call on Adams is an all time worst, but we got some less than stellar calls go our way as well. I'm just glad Josh's injury wasn't serious.

Adams and Lieberman look like they hate each other on the floor they appear to struggle as teammates.
