Wyoming opens +3 vs. Hawaii

Spread is now up to -4.5 Hawaii. Wonder if Vegas got the news that Woolsey may not start, hence the line movement?

With Iosefa out and Woolsey under center, the 'Bows don't have much to "bring". That being said, their D is for real and the way Kirk's playing and the situation with our o-line, it could be ugly, offensively.
Agreed, but from what I've been seeing, Graham will be starting and Iosefa will be playing.

In short, I think both offenses are going to struggle and just don't see this game going over 40 total. Should be a 12-9, or 17-10 kind of game. Looking at potential determining factors- we probably have the better QB, but I don't think he'll get much opportunity to prove it. I think the big difference might be on the sidelines- Chow is not in the same league as Bohl, IMO...

The total looks to be around 47-48. I'm betting the under on this game and taking Hawaii ML. Hopefully I can pay for a Wyoming win.
As of that post- Iosefa was still listed as out, but has been changed to questionable. I think they're going to make these game day decisions. Nonetheless, even with Graham and Iosefa, I don't see much scoring.

On opening night, I watched former 5-Star, #1 rated recruit Shaq Thompson get trucked over by Iosefa like he was a child. If Joey plays, he'll make an impact on the game. Maybe not a huge one, UH's offense is horrific otherwise. But he'll make his presence known.

Graham is turnover prone, but anything is better than inaccurate Woolsey.

Utah State fan here.

I'm surprised by the pessimism here. I think the Pokes take this one, not exactly easily, but not a nail biter. I'm calling Pokes 14, Bows 6.

Really looking forward to our game in Laramie this year. Wish I could be there.

Go Pokes! Go AGGIES!

I totally dug the win over BYU. I agree that the Pokes will win, but I think the score eill be higher. UW 32 Hawaii 17

Face it. The Pokes are just not a scoring team. Why does anyone think they will now against a fairly stout defense? The hope for the Pokes is to not let the other team score. If that other team comes up with a good passing game, look out Pokes.

Did you just call Hawaii a stout defense? Seriously, MSU that is a stout Defense. Hawaii the only thing they can look to do is stack the box with 8 and if Colby can't beat them with his arm then we are in trouble but if they don't stack the box it's going to be ugly.

Between an offense vs defense we both aren't exactly stellar but Hawaii hasn't faced two top 10 teams so the numbers a little skewed. Wyo gives up 400 YPG, Hawaii @ 383 YPG. But we still haven't broken 20 points in a game I'm not sure this is where that will change.

If we can keep them honest on defense, or at least somewhat honest, they won't stack the box. If they don't stack the box, Wick and May should get some good carries. I just hope we throw some screens when Hawaii loads up to blitz. Would take pressure off of Kirk and make his job easier.

CBs Phillips and Maggit aren't good enough for UH to stack the box. They'll get lit up all night, you know....like last year.

Sounds like defense will have their hands full.

What I wouldn't give for them to finally actually catch the damn ball on a few interceptions. That qualifies as hands full, right?

from what I saw, the line has moved and now up to 5 1/2 for Hawaii.

I can see this game going either way for sure.

If feel we played competitively vs Oregon (although the score was bad, I felt we did some good things at times) and Air Force. If that Wyoming team shows up, we beat a not very good Hawaii team by 10+. If the Wyoming team that against FAU, Montana and Mich State shows up, we lose this game.

I guess maybe I missed something...Did Hawaii become good? We beat FAU and Montana....I would bet both of those teams would blow Hawaii out...Why all the doom and gloom? We'll drag them into the deep end and wear them out and win ugly. Jesus. You'd think we were playing another top 10 team this week....

Not to say we CANT lose, I just don't see us losing.

No, I am not saying Hawaii WILL win. I am not being doom and gloom, but this is fact...games in Hawaii are very hard.

If we play like dogshi like we did vs some of these other teams this year, this same "crap" team in Hawaii will beat us. Period. That is all I am saying.

All this said, it's a good chance to see what Ryan Cummings can do (True Freshmen OT). He's not lacking in size at 6'5 295lbs, and his highlights show a very aggressive blocker that just attacks defenders, so I'm interested to see what he can do in this game.

I don't think the issue is thinking that UH is GOOD. We know they have played well at times. The biggest concerns is not knowing how good we are. We beat some teams that are playing well now (AF, in particular)...but we got them early in the season before they hit full stride, and had ugly games. We more than likely had a hand in causing them to have an off game, but our dismantling in Oregon and Michigan didn't leave me with a slightest inclination as to how good we really are. I think the next two games will give us that....I hope.
