With Nance we have a shot at the MWC Tourney.
We have a shot at any game Nance is in, and I won't give up all hope at the MWC title, but we need Nance back ASAP and we need Boise and SDSU to slip up somewhere they shouldn't.
And if Nance is back for the MWC Tourney, we can win 3 games.
If we don't get a MWC title this season, and don't make the Big Dance, I am going to be skeptical of Shyatt for the first time.
I've been questioning his stuff lately, but not skeptical.
I don't understand why we have so little depth after 4 years. Meanwhile I am watching Coach Tinkle take a team who was projected to win 5 games all season, been put on blast for lack of talent, and held open F***** tryouts on campus, go 10 deep on the roster and be in the top third of the Pac12 in year 1.
Why aren't Wyo's players ready to contribute? Why do only go 7 deep?
Why does it take so long to develop players?
Just let the players go play the game. Quit playing not to lose.

WTF? Laramie is no harder to recruit too than the other 300+ basketball teams out there. At some point you have to realize there is more to the game than just the players and the coaches. That would be the culture that is being instilled upon the team. It may go higher than the AD.

I am listening. He said he takes full responsibility for the way the game was played and he is too blame for the loss. He doesn't want anyone criticizing the kids just criticize him. Said he won't ever blame the players. He is going to do the best he can to try and get this fixed and that no one feels as sad as he does about the last 2 games.

10 years a head coach
Nearly 5 years at Wyoming in two stints
2 NIT rounds (1 Wyoming and 1 at Clemson)
3 CBI's (3 at Wyoming, Second Stint)
Thats the closest I can confirm.
I'm not aware of him going to the NCAA tournaments in any of those years. However, he had a very bad run at Clemson. He has had a much better run at Wyoming.
Worse than that, here are his teams finishes in conference play.
He finished 5th in the WAC his first year at Wyoming.
He finished 7th, then 9th, then 9th, then 9th, then 8th in the ACC.
He finished 6th, 8th, then 6th in the MWC.
Pretty mediocre record - WAIT - we love mediocre.

SDSU won this game by playing some hellacious defense. We were short on depth. SDSU had their 'walkons' playing with less than 5 minutes left in the game.
I think we could have won this game if we were completely healthy. We are far from it. I think SDSU was better prepared. They had a huge home advantage on us. We were under prepared.

And I think that he demands an extremely high level of understanding and understanding of the fundamentals or the players don't get on the court.
And that screws himself over.
You have JRs and SRs playing 35+ minutes a game. Meanwhile freshmen don't see the court. They are trying to not mess up instead of just playing ball.
I said it earlier, but after watching the way the Beavers new coach empties the entire bench (they held open fuckin tryouts on campus this year and kept like 3 or 4 of the guys) and let's the kids go play, instead of being worried about getting burned and not being perfect fundamentally, I am questioning why we don't have shit for depth.
We don't have players who can play at this level. We are 4 years in, and we don't have players that can play.
