UNLV and Nevada rumored to PAC 12

I don't think any of the current MWC schools will bolt to the PAC including unlv.
Only way I see is if MWC loses lawsuit and can't fulfill payment to UNLV/AF thereby releasing them from gor.

Also possible that tv contract is peanuts but is hope we can find roughly 4 mill to payout?

The grant of rights makes it really unlikely for teams to leave the MWC during this media cycle IMO (unless the Big 12 comes calling UNLV in which case they can leave penalty free).

Sans losing the pac lawsuit or in some way not getting the money to UNLV. If money isn't paid in full = void contract = Anyone can leave.

I agree (hope) that's unlikely but that's the pac's angle. Rat bastards

Both conferences need to stop the staring contest and just concede that having one conference with PAC-2 and MWC teams divided into two divisions makes the most sense. I don’t care what they call it. They are both better off with each other than without. JMHO

IMO I think it's going to happen sooner or later.

Looks like Wyoming will get $5-6M on the next TV deal. Just depends on final numbers and how the pie is split with the new additions.

The PAC is finding out that any team worth a damn won’t go to them. Teams like Memphis, UNLV, or even Tulane will wait for more power 4 invites. Traveling across the country might be worth it for $30-$40 million, not $8. And IF the MWC media deal will allocate $5-6 million, that’s enough to stay put. The big two, SEC & Big10, control all the cards right now and until all of college football can come together with one commissioner, the group of 6 will be exactly where we are. As long as we can stay on Saturdays and a few Fridays for football and get $5-6 million a year, I’ll take it. I hope the defectors end up playing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and enjoy not having any rivals. If the CW stays as their only option, they might get Saturdays and will rely on their true fan base eyes only. Good luck to them. Keep chasing that pot at the end of the rainbow. We’ll see them all again someday when the big split happens. 😎

Let's assume we get 5 million and pac gets 8. If we merge both, I doubt we get 13. It'd be interesting to see if we even remained at 5 or if so many schools would dilute out the revenue. Total would go up but would per school payout?
