Summer Hoops Notes and Pics

You have to like our chances vs. Miss State and Florida Gulf Coast. We will likely win more games and make more dance appearances than both of those teams over the next five years. In addition, we've got the best coaching staff, a basketball facility under renovation, and the nicest basketball facilities out of all three schools.

Come on JJ, Wyoming is the school for you.

Man it all comes down to what this kid wants more (I don't blame him for whatever he chooses)
But the way I see this:

FGCU-Beautiful campus, beach, women,it's FLORIDA

Mississippi State- SEC, he gets to stay down south so the culture shock won't be too big for him. He gets the chance to play close to home throughout the next 4 years, and gets to play Kentucky and Florida.

Wyoming- Coach Shyatt, a program that is on the rise like crazy right now. A couple of his Florida buddies up here.

If I was him, these 3 would probably be my top 3 as well.

Just hope he picks Wyoming!

UNLV has the talent, but the coaching will act like a full on leg cast, handicapping all that talent.

There is one positive (major positive) with UNLV that will make them more competitive naturally, than last year...

This jagoff is gone

Ugh, kids drive me crazy.

He says he will be committing soon, but then he says September. Yes I realize September is soon, but doesn't he realize us WyoNation people want to know now!!!

This is GREAT news!!!
We should feel much better about the outlook for '14-'15 now. I know I do. Larry still needs to get into shape and get some of his court rhythm back, I'm sure, but he looks right on schedule. Very much interested to see how the new kids and redshirts meld with the veterans this season. Nance seems to be impressed/excited.

Really good news from Jeremy yesterday concerning the block/charge interpretation. Papa Shy is one of the best at teaching how to take charges -- especially in help-defense. This should (and will) make the Pokes even stronger defensively. Hoops can't get here soon enough.
