Colorado was supposed to be an NCAA team again, they've never recovered from WYO destroying them!
NMSU was also supposed to be. They had several close losses to legit opponents in OOC, and are now set to cruise through conf to another NCAA tourney.
We can't help when the teams we put on our schedule fail for the season.
Every team has a Stetson and Denver and then a regional MSU that they generally play.
We went out on a limb with FAMU, and anyone who has played them they have screwed their SOS. We also went out on a limb with conf champion Southern. They had a ridiculous OOC, to which they played valiant, just couldn't get the "w's". They are like NMSU, they are set to run through their conf and bea tourney team also.
Point is, the legit teams were on our schedule, they've sucked this year in their own right, beyond our control.

Not feeling TOO bad about our loss to Air Force. It still hurts, but at least SDSU got blown out too.

Hope Wyoming wins but think they will probably get worked.
OK, Wyoming lost - big - to AF, but it still counts as only 1 loss. Guess what - we beat CSU on Wednesday, NMex lost 2 games, & SDSU lost today. BSU is the hottest team in the conf. I don't know how it will all end up in the MWC, but it's almost like starting the conference season all over again.

Wow just saw that Boise beat SDSU. That's huge. That being said, we need Nance back this week

Boise is the best team in the conference. Thank God we beat them when they were still hurting.
And thankfully we don't play them again.
If Nance is back we have a good shot at beating SDSU. I imagine the team has a HUGE chip on their shoulders right now. If we get this win, and Boise beats AFA in Boise on Wednesday, we will go up 1/2 game in the MWC.
.5 over Boise, and 1 over SDSU.
And Boise and SDSU play eachother again in a couple weeks. Along with SDSU having to play @NM, @UNLV, and CSU. And Boise having to play @UNLV and NM again.
If us and SDSU tie, we are sitting pretty with a W over Boise, and Boise having a win over SDSU.
And thankfully we don't play them again.

"If Nance is back" ? Hmm... Well... No. So one important intangible that the Pokes lack is an on-court cheer leader, with emphasis on leader. So who could that be? Riley? - cool, collected, but too shy. Cooke? - just too hesitant and unsure of himself. Josh? - dynamic, but seemingly introverted. That leaves Hankerson. He has to be the rally-around player and he can do it. Hank, take the reigns!
