Fiesta Bowl

Either BSU is pretty darn good, or TCU is laying an egg. Either way, TCU won't have much of an argument for a national championship IF they win.

Let's go Frogs, make the MWC 5-0.

They've played horrible. They just haven't been in it tonight. Dalton's off, Hughes is bottled up.. ugly.

I'm going to have to be honest, though... considering Boise returns pretty much their entire starting lineup for next season, Pokes better hit them fast and hard if they don't want to be absolutely humiliated.

Yeah, this didn't reflect well on the MWC when our O and D players of the year had terrible games.. but TCU will be strong next year, and the conference as a whole will be better.. except CSU, fuck them.

Thanks to ^*(%$%^^ TCU's super crappy performance tonight, I have to have a Oklahoma avatar AMD say that the WAC is superior to the MWC" on Sports Hawaii from now until Kickoff of the 2010 season!

AND I LOATHE THE OKLAHOMA SOONERS!!!!!!!!

You wouldn't think our undefeated bowl season would be fumbled off by TCU but it definitely was BSU not only showed up to play but I was there, The fan power for BSU was at least 3X as loud and as strong as TCU fans.

TCU didn't show up with a strong game but BSU showed up with not only fans and a strong game but they really dominated the entire game.

ridiclous TCU layed an egg they dropped a tieing touchdown pass and Dalton played awful their D did real good and Boise has a helluva coach give him 4 weeks to prepare for any team in the country and they are going to come in and compete

I am surprised, really thought tcu would dominate them like last year. I did notice early how well the bsu d tackles were playing. They shut down the run and forced dalton to beat them with his arm, very impressive.

What had me confused though was how TCU abandoned the run up the middle. Their line completely dominated the BSU d-line, and they pushed their way to 5-6 yards even on plays that should've been stopped for no gain. Several times, Dalton could have run for 4-5 yards, but instead he'd heave it away into coverage.

I seriously think TCU could have run in this game. I'm not sure why they didn't... sure, not many of the outside runs worked, but the power running was something Boise had no response to, not to mention how worn down they would have been later in the game.

I have to disagree about TCU D doing good. TCU was lucky to get out giving up only 17 (10 by the D). They gave up 300+ yards, BSU receivers were open all night, and they are lucky to not have 10-20 more points against them if Moore would have hit his open receivers. TCU receivers were not all that open and the big plays were pure athletic ability on a covered receiver's part. Yes, TCU had some open receivers as well, but not nearly as often as BSU.

We will be lucky to get a 7th regular season win next season. Can we do it? Sure, but with 6 of our opponents coming in with a combined 2009 record of 71-9 (assumes a Texas loss Thursday), it will be very tough to improve on this season's record.

Dalton looked horrible last night. His first 6-7 passes should/could have been picked off. And the play calling was horrible. I think they only ran about 5 different plays in the first half. They should have been pounding the ball that first half but just refused to do it. I 'll give BSU credit, they showed up to play and TCU wasnt ready for it. But how about that TCU dance team!!!

Dalton couldnt have been more inaccuarte and TCU shouldve used its speed more to there advantage all in all we wont be getting our BCS berth this year

That was definitely an Egg that TCU laid! They played uninspired, and looked flat all night. It was a pathetic showing against a Boise Team that isn't spectacular and makes a living beating up on nobodies. To top it off of all the teams you should always be aware of the trick play coming from its Boise. Why would you not be playing a safe punt coverage??? TCU was pathetic last night plain and simple.

Boise State constantly mixed up their defensive alignments and did a lot of stunting on the line. I think that TCU wasn't prepared for that. Maybe DC can learn something from that when the Pokes face the Frogs next year.

It sounded loud in there when BSU was on defense and it was noted several times by broadcasters. TCU didn't have enough fans giving everything they had to make a racket.

Both QB's looked like they were expecting a gust of wind when throwing deep in the first half. BSU's QB appeared to me to be completely comfortable even after struggling with accuracy early on.

All of TCU's offensive struggles have been pointed out in previous posts, although I think there has been a tendency to dismiss it as poor offensive play by them, rather than the BSU defense. It looked like BSU had defenders in the right spot most of the night and limited TCU's second efforts with good tackling.

Oh, and those who thought TCU should have been prepared for the trick play, c'mon. Everyone watching that TCU defender barreling towards the punter thought blocked punt all the way, admit it. No one watching on TV was watching for the fake and neither was TCU. That was great execution of a great play.

Actually, I was hoping TCU would at least go for it on some of the 4th and 3s they had. Just do a run up the middle with the entire line pushing forward if needed be.
