Look, I'm sure Iowa is a great place to live. I was simply responding to some douche who said Wyoming was boring. I also think you guys have a great coach and a great team. But as a Wyoming native, and a Wyoming fan, on a Wyoming forum, if some idiot says there is nothing to do in Wyoming, I'm going to respond. None of the things I listed had anything to do with pig fucking or blow jobs. I just thought it was funny that the guy thought Old Faithful was boring, yet somehow sitting in old school desks was a big deal for some people. Don't take the things said on this forum personally, it's all in good fun. If you want a real Wyoming fan experience, come on here and say you are either a BYU or CSU fan. Then you will see some shit. Anyway, as I said before, here's to a great game and no injuries. Best of luck.

I don't think anyone on PantherNation is going to advocate visiting an old school house over Yellowstone. Even as a teacher, I wouldn't and won't.

The irony is that you guys are jumping on us for jumping on you for jumping on us. There is an endless "circle jerk" between both fan bases because the other is offended that their opponents haven't prostrated themselves and admitted that they have no chance of winning. Clearly that's a silly thing for anyone to expect and yet...here we are.

Sarcasm is an iffy proposition on the Internet, some people get it and some don't. All I can say to you is this, if you are offended by anyone on here, or anything said on here, perhaps you should stay on the Panther forum where things are a little more friendly to your ilk. This is a forum for Wyoming fans and we are going to talk shit no matter the opponent. If we were playing Kentucky, we would be talking shit. It's what we do between games. Wow just wow. The rivalries in the MVC must not be very intense. This is very tame compared to Boot week, or when we used to play BYU. I am have tempted to ship some urine and blood bombs up to Seattle, just so the UNI fans can get the MWC experience.

Good point. I spend a lot of time in Lexington, and I always talk shit to the Kentucky fans. You know things like "In 5 years the only D1 basketball program in Kentucky that won't be on probation is Western Kentucky"

Can I ask why you chose Cedar Rapids? Most Iowans, including myself, regard it as a nasty place due to the industrial area that makes it reek of chemicals and Quaker Oats. Des Moines is a much nicer place with plenty to do and enjoy if you're just looking at metropolitan areas.

Cedar Rapids is also about an hour away from Northern Iowa's campus in Cedar Falls...so I must be missing the relevance unless Cedar Rapids was specifically mentioned as being nicer than Wyoming, which again, is just a local resident trying to make themselves feel better about their toxic city.

Don't take it personal. I'm willing to bet we'd trash any other state or city, too. We just love Wyoming! Our pride runs deep.

We've had this exact same pissing match with North Dakota St fans. They normally don't call us gay pig-fuckers though. Probably because they've been called sheep-fuckers anytime they get mouthy with another fanbase. Most of them except lakesbison have learned to just point to the rings on their coaches fingers instead...it usually works.

North Dakotans are well-known to be unimaginative.

I read their Wyoming thread and I don't know what you guys are all up in arms about. That's one of the more objective boards I've read. Plenty of guys saying Nance will be best on the floor etc. they're a 5 seed, they should win and plenty of them think Wyoming won't be an easy win. Couple of pop shots sure, but I think our rebel rousers probably baited them

Man. Pig fucking season must be over, because those guys over there sure have a lot of time on their hands to perform fellatio on themselves. I am surprised that they aren't 34-0, I mean a top 10 team should have no trouble running through the MVC.

And since I can't resist being a little snarky, UNI did not have much trouble running through the MVC this year. We lost our opening game to a young Evansville team that at the time looked primed to be a Top 50 RPI team (and then imploded...like always) and to another Top 15 team in Wichita State. Add in a 2OT loss to VCU (who hadn't lost superstar Briante Weber to that horrific knee injury yet). Other than that we won most of our games comfortably. You guys should understand as well as anyone how difficult it can be to blowout teams when you play less than 60 possessions a game, and yet UNI won 73% of their wins by double digits. I should also throw in that every RPI and SOS metric I've come across puts UNI's SOS about 40-50 spots higher than Wyoming's (~140 compared to ~180-190 depending on the site). It's not a huge difference but I don't think you guys can point the "who did you beat" finger without looking at yourself.

I am not super clear on what you were trying to prove here, but that statement doesn't help make any case for your team over ours...I think most around the country would resoundingly agree that the MWC is much tougher, top to bottom, conference than the MVC. UNI is truly a huge fish in a mud puddle. Yes we had a horrific SOS and OOC schedule but don't kid yourself that UNI had a tougher go of it this year. UNI would have lost 2-8 more games this season playing the day in and day out grind of the MWC. I can concede that on paper and rankings, the MVC's top two teams are ahead of the top tier in the MWC. But what we have in our conference is this thing called BALANCE. On any given night, any team in the MWC can beat anyone else. Your board wants to scoff that we got blown out by Air Force. I want to see how UNI reacts to the fact that as they are loading the bus for the game, Tuttle (as well as your first off the bench player) is pulled off the bus and put in the hospital with mono complicated by Crohn's disease. I want to see how UNI would fare after the long trip to the arena, over three hours of sweating and worrying about your friend, teammate, and leader. I want to see the performance after all of that AND Air Force shooting almost 70% from the field and over 60% from 3, both well over their season average. Riddle me that Panthman. And your comment about how UNI beat most teams by double digits doesn't really make your case either because all odds are that the game Friday will be within 10 points and Wyoming is 14-3 this season in games closer than 10 points. We know how to win big and we know how to win small. Last time I checked the NCAA doesn't mandate a minimum spread, scoring even one point more means its a win.

That SOS also does not include non-D-1 schools, which are not included in RPI or SOS factors. Wyoming played 2 schools that are not NCAA D-1. UNI played 0. No one is claiming UNI's SOS was one of the best in the nation. It's not. But it was decently stronger than Wyoming's.

I wouldn't call it insecure that we are giving posters like CowboyCO actual statistics that prove our schedule was NOT weaker and we did in fact beat those "weak" teams very, very convincingly. I'll use this time to thank the posters from Wyonation who have come over and have had actual conversations with us about basketball and the game tomorrow. Most of you have been incredibly pleasant to talk with. I think just about all of us are in agreement that tomorrow will be a battle.
