Chris Boucher

If the point of this topic is to convince Chris Boucher to come and be a cowboy, you guys totally fucked it up...

Trying to get back on track: Chris, we've got some big shoes to fill and you've got the skill set to help WYO keep improving. Our coaches will help you develop. DC had very little experience coming in but blossomed into a great player and led the nation in dunks his senior year. Of your top choices, I think the staff here at WYO will give you the best chance at the NBA. Please make the trek over to Laramie, don't leave the cowboy state!

Great points. Look at the development of Nance/Cooke, combined with the long history of talented players that Shyatt/Duncan have coached. There is a great opportunity here for a big man to step in and be a primary option from day one while expanding their skill set and training athletically at 7200'.

In addition, among all the great experiences that being a NCAA student athlete can provide, one of the top has to be playing in the NCAA tournament. Another is winning a conference championship. Of his final list of six schools, only one school made the NCAA tourney and only one won a conference title. Fortunately for Mr. Boucher, they were both accomplished by the same team, the Wyoming Cowboys. I would say the decision is easy.

6'10", 200-205 lbs, 44.4% from 3 point range, 75.8 % free throws. Rated a 4 star by some. Sort of thin. Really nice shooting form for only playing about 4 years.

Evidently left New Mexico Junior College for Powell because he was under-used.

Thanks for the game footage. I'm pretty impressed with Desilien. It would be one hell of a get by the coaching staff if they landed Boucher and got Desilien to walk on to the team.

Your welcome. In the game footage anyway, Boucher seems to be more of a perimeter player on offense, he doesn't seem to be looking to go inside a lot.

With Boucher going to wait a while, I would think some of his offers will go away as schools fill out their scholarships.

Yeah I just watched the game against NW FLorida St. since they have some legit D1 talent on their team as well. Boucher does look to play on the outside on offense like you say except for when he gets an alley oop dunk. He can jump. He can shoot from 3 really well. Blocks shots very well.

Desilien would be a good pick up for sure as he handles the ball pretty well and is semi decently quick and can shoot it. Passes it really well also. Not sure if that is even in their plans though to get him to walk on or if he would even be interested in that. I haven't looked but he might have some offers somewhere also.

After watching more of that William Desilien kid, I am surprised he doesn't have an offer yet. It looks like he has medium interest from a number of smaller schools but no offers. There is a reason that Northwest College was so good this year. Boucher was awesome of course but William made them better as well. Kid has good stats and was a top ten point guard from Canada out of high school. Be a great pick up getting him to walk on.

His numbers this year.

GP PTS/G FG % 3PT % FT % REB/G A/G
35 21.5 53.7 42.6 87.3 2.7 5.1

That will help us land him.. Lets talk about all the people we can fuck to get him a scholly. You people are dense. Time to take a long break from this cesspool.

Running a college basketball team is as much about perception as it is production.

It's no secret Washington has pissed off a lot of fans. Didn't piss you off? Well, that doesn't really matter. Still has pissed off a lot of people.

Keeping fans happy is a big deal. Now if this is true about patience running thin within the athletic department, then well, all I can say is the kid is digging his own grave.

I wouldn't mind seeing Washington gone.

But what I really want is Boucher starting next season for WYOMING![/quote]

Recruiting is as much about his perception of Wyoming as it is reality. What perception do you think he gets from watching boosters talk about how to fuck Trey out of a scholarship to make room for his buddy. Shy would tell you how far from reality you drama queens have slipped.

We're going to break a promise to a kid because the board drama queens don't like his twitter posts, while abandoning our developmental program for a jc quick fix?

You used to be a good poster, although overly optimistic. You're drama queen gossip card is in the mail.

What's dense is you thinking that what some random fans post on a message board will have ANY effect on whether a recruit comes to Wyo. If he is so thin-skinned that a message board scares him off then I want him nowhere near this program.

B.S. if you can't remember, the entire team had to stand up for themselves this year because you jock chasing twitter tough guys were insulting them throughout the season. They do read the boards. Who wants to come play in a place where their own fans insult them after a bad loss?

Were conference champions and you guys insult the people that won the title? All it does is prove that our fan base is going to find things to bitch about. Ask anyone on the team if the fan base insults didn't get to them. It did.

If you don't think that boosters trying to figure out a way to break a promise to a scholarshipped athlete is going to affect a recruits decision, you're out of your damn minds. His name is in the title of the thread. He will read it.

Luckily Shy has ethics because you cowards don't.

Everyone should relax.

Trey is a good player and I want him on the team. I am sure Trey is a good guy overall as well and he felt like defending himself and his team just as us fans felt the same way when all of the stuff happened. Just be better if the players and fans didn't threaten each other on twitter. Everyone gets defensive and then in the heat of the moment people say stuff they don't mean. Hell I am as guilty of it as the next guy even though I don't go on twitter as I don't have a twitter. Still though everyone needs to calm down. :D

I want Trey on the team and I want Chris Boucher on the team and if we can get William Desilien I want him as well.

Who? You keep throwing these comments out there that if a person follows someone on twitter they're pathetic losers only trying to stir the pot or talk shit. You have yet to provide one tweet that shows that anyone on this board actually talks shit to the players. Until you can prove anything other than your obviously low IQ, STFU. You're the only person acting like a social media tough guy.

I got home today, mailbox was empty. You had my hopes elevated only to be dashed. Such a party pooper, shame on you!

Your card went Platinum Coyote as soon as you suggested booting someone because he's aggressive on twitter. :) I think Trey is going to serve his Crow with cream sauce next year.

Were conference champs and we have the talent to get two or three more in the next four years. You guys need to celebrate a little. I know some pretty kick ass strippers in the Denver area that will put a smile on your face.

Get you one of these. :D

Lol...

You do realize that Trey Washigton threatened to beat up a kid on campus because he said "Hankerson needs benched"?
Like it wasn't even "@hankerson" or tagging him or anything. Lol. He's a wanna-be hardass who didn't do shit on the championship team.

You put these guys on such high pedestal like simply because they play hoops for Wyoming that they are good people. When in reality, some of them are great people, some of them are total jack asses. Deal with it man. Threatening kids on campus because of a 3 word tweet not even aimed at him in ANY way? Being a fuckin tool to fans who said "I thought Wisconsin would be Kentucky" saying that person doesn't know basketball? Get fucking real.

You know what the funny thing about that Wisconsin-Kentucky debate/argument?

Is that Trey blasted Itsuckstobeacsuram saying he doesn't know shit about basketball, but itsuckstobeacsuram was the one that was right. Hahaha.

Dude, if Trey wins basketball games for us, then I will like him as a basketball player. Unless he drastically changes his wanna-be tough-guy thug bullshit, then I will likely loathe seeing him in a WYOMING jersey.

Completely agree with the last half of this. I commented about this last night on the "Please delete this thread" thread and checked it coming out of work this morning to find it was deleted. I didn't think what I commented was that bad, damn! Especially after reading the second page of this thread. It seems worse.
Do you people think a player wants to get a Scholly that was rescinded by the staff on a current player? You don't think in the slightest that he may second guess this and think to himself, "Man! What if that was me and my Scholly?"

And for those of you complaining about arguing with trey on Twitter or whatever, you all instigate yourselves and argue a majority of the time, even on here. Your just as bad as him... If arguing on social media is actually bad.
It's funny that it's the ones on here that bitch and complain all the time that seem to gravitate toward having an argument of confrontation on social media with a player or other fans. You come on here and say that Trey needs to grow a pair and grow up, yet the ones saying that act just like or are worse than him on here.

Would Twitter seem much different if a player hopped on this forum and blasted us when we were ripping on hank? I didn't see the Twitter feud so I can't say too much. Friends defend friends to a fault. I can't hate on that. Trey seems passionate, I hope that translates to his game. Should he calm down on Twitter? Sure. So should a hundred pro athletes. Taking Twitter too serious is bad business for fans and athletes

I didn't suggest it, rather suggested it might be happening. If Washington lights it up next year, nobody will be happier than I but there is something in the works or at least being discussed. Maybe Titleist can give you Mod rights in the near future so you edit everyones' posts and threads. Hate for you to be offended. Talk about drama......
