I guess the real irony here is how our two fcs guys can't field an offense.

It is particularly interesting because there is a track record for FCS coaches making the jump to FBS and being highly successful. The most well know example is probably Jim Tressel who won a national championship in his second year with Ohio State after being at Youngstown State. Brian Kelly came from a D2 school to Central Michigan and lead them to the MAC Championship in his third year before moving onto Cincinnati and later Notre Dame and LSU. Jim Harbaugh turned Stanford into a national powerhouse within three years of coming there from FCS school San Diego. Willie Fritz, the head coach at Tulane, came to them from FCS school Georgia Southern. Fritz didn't have immediate success at Tulane but last year he lead them to a 12-2 record, a Cotton bowl win, and a #9 national ranking.

So FCS coaches can certainly be successful at the FBS level.

Ironically, it's worse than the cockhill years. Talk about a guy who could screw up QBs. I wonder whatever happened to him?

Bohl had a generational talent at qb, nfl talent all over the offense, and still only had a good not great offense. That's the ceiling.

That Stanard defense sucked at that time though. If we had anything near the defense we started getting after Scotty H was here, Brian Hill + Josh Allen + Tanner Gentry and crew - we would have toasted the schedule with some big wins.

I think Glenn had 2 years with offense below 80. 3 years near 75 or above.

Bohl has had 1 year above 80.

What were DC's teams ranked on offense?

Similar to Glenn. First 2 years sub 100 next seasons above 75.

If Bohl could manage to field offense in the upper half of fbs, he'd have a special program. Just mind blowing that after all these years, his offense is still dysfunctional.
