Plans to sell naming rights of the AA and War? Thoughts?

I think what is demoralizing about this is that what you are describing would not take just a good administrator and marketer. It would take people with extraordinary vision... Not just one person.... Many persons. If that is what it takes to get UW athletics right then it just isn't going to happen. It's easy to sit here and describe the fruits of unique talents....

It would take multiple people. People skilled in deal making, vision and follow through. But it isn’t an insurmountable mountain by any means. It’s actually very achievable. But I am pretty sure the athletic department has never even made a simple phone call to the likes of NextEra and similar companies. But rest assured Brown and Gold Outlet (and this is no knock on their small business) is on speed dial.

I don't have enough info to comment much on the idea. Why are there permit challenges? Is federal land involved and are feds holding up the process? Opposition to sight pollution from windmills? Political, scientific, or business questions regarding long-term industry viability? Your proposal is basically requesting above market contributions to UW athletics and in return the company receives political favors in terms of permitting and such. Unfortunately a relatively standard practice in the US, but what is the political motivation to make this play? Why provide favors to help UW athletics vs their campaign fund, community that may be affected, county, school districts in whatever area is impacted, etc.?

Like I said, I honestly don't know enough about it to comment.

Yea man - I don’t have the time to hold your hand on all the issues of energy development right now in Wyoming. These are state/local issues (nothing to do with the feds) and a few internet clicks you should be able to find some of the information you seek. You can start with the ‘freedom’ caucus’ general view on nuclear, renewable energy and co2 injection development, the restrictions/bans it seeks on those developments, and the bills from last and the upcoming session. You can also research OSLI leases/easements, state industrial siting council and county permit requirements. It may also to help you if you understand the ‘big 5’ who sit on the Wyoming state board of land commissioners. Hope this helps.

First, not really worth the time. It's mental masturbation at best; there's almost 0 chance of it happening. Second, understanding the details doesn't explain how donating/advertsing with UW athletics solves the problem politically or otherwise.
