I’d add CSewe, they would be high on my list.I'm with you. I'd love the situation to evolve for that to happen and tell osu, wsu, and usu to pound sand. It won't, but it'd be awesome, lol.

Yes, the other board had a nice post on all of it. I really think the PAC12 is hoping the ACC falls apart and they pick up Stanford and Cal at some point plus not pay the exit fees. However that looks if it means a reverse merger AFTER the lawsuit fails and after they argue that the members that left can vote for dissolution and a multitude of other things then they will just do a reverse merger of some sort, but before they do that they will litigate and look for every loophole100%. The PAC know what they were doing all along. They have no intention of paying the collusion fees or exit fees. You really think they were just willing to give up $200 million dollars of that war chest they fought for? This was set in motion right after the scheduling agreement was inked.
Total hypocrisy, but I guess this is the new collegiate athletics landscape. Such a joke.
Any news on UNLV?They have the money. They just would rather litigate over a few years so the MWC won’t have the money to timely pay UNLV and AFA the bonuses. It’s disgusting abuse of court process to gain leverage in negotiation.
I can’t imagine they make any decision until they get more information on how this all shakes out.Any news on UNLV?
The MW needs this guy on the legal team!
There’s a report out there that the Penile-12 has had the strategy of getting the MW dissolved by any means necessary.Vandal fan here. With all the realignment talk, I’m curious how Wyoming fans are feeling about it. When the WAC collapsed, Idaho had to make some tough moves, so I’m wondering if that’s on your radar with everything going on now. Do you see Wyoming staying solid in the Mountain West? Maybe jumping ship or even a drop to FCS? Also, any word about poaching FCS schools like the Montanas or Dakotas to fill out the conference? Would be interesting to see how that affects regional rivalries.
Tons of talk on our board about this stuff, curious about outside perspectives
The report is incorrect IMO. There are 7 remaining members and votes of any 2 not to dissolve should preserve the league. There’s a report out there that the Penile-12 has had the strategy of getting the MW dissolved by any means necessary.
Supposedly they’re trying to get nine members to leave the MW whether it’s via a P-12 invite or other conference invite.
Then the departing members would have incentive to vote for dissolution to avoid the exit fees for both the schools themselves and the P-12.
In the end, as always, it’s all about money.
And then what….? You still need another member assuming no one else bolts. The report is incorrect IMO. There are 7 remaining members and votes of any 2 not to dissolve should preserve the league.

Kudos, Griz! There’s been a lot of talk on the Idaho board about all of this, and it feels like déjà vu for us Vandals. I don’t want to lose our regional and traditional rivalries to a conference shuffle. Those matchups are what make college football exciting.Hey All,
Montana Fan here. I'm glad Vandal posted when he did, as I've also had some thoughts but in a bit different direction....allow me a moment, as I understand the look down with fcs schools from fbs...
Here goes...
I could (fcs eyes) see a situation where wyo and a few mw schools could get "land locked" per say (like idaho did with sun belt). If unlv and af leave, that in my mind leaves wyo as a bit outlier as the then most northern school, away from other mw remaining schools.
I could never see wyo dropping down rather, what if the mw went after a 2 division approach. If it could court say, the dakotas, Montanas, idaho, you would instantly have an 8 team north.
If you could then keep nev, unm, sjsu, hawaii, then bring in sac st, uc davis, cal poly, nm st, it would seem to align and might create a pretty formidable conference. Yes some title 9 add to sports but most of the fcs schools I mentioned have that or could add a sport (I think of wrestling at montana).
It would then seem to create natural border war type rivalry, at least with a north division.
Anyway, just was curious on your thoughts.
Such a mess....
Ps, the playoffs at the fcs level are so much fun. Glad they are expanding it in fbs.
I saw when boise and idaho did their thing. Yes, wyo only has one school. But, at the end of the day, it's all about expense. If you're an outlier, that's a travel expense. Is it worth it? That's for you fellas to decide. If it is, then you better start courting fcs schools to move up, or, your longevity perhaps ends up like Idaho, WHO is now making waves in fcs, again (we still own the brown stein, VandalAll I can say is that of course most fans are worried about the longevity of UW and its position in FBS. The changes in college football are unsustainable. As a dad of three kids that are in high school or college, I don't see any real interest in college football in them or their peer group. They just don't care. My youngest loves the Cowboys because I do. He loves Laramie and the mountains. He might go to UW. My other is at Marquette and enjoys basketball but still doesn't live or die for the Warriors...err...Golden Eagles. To me, this is all unsustainable and change will happen...maybe a long time from now. The fun of college football is being destroyed. The stand out questions for me are (1) who would ever join the PAC 2 and step into a lawsuit and (2) are the backstabbing, immoral 5 really comfortable with their decision now? All to save the name of a brand who claimed its primary goal was preserving academic and athletic excellence? They are pathetic and the PAC 2 brand stands for corruption and vile arrogance. It represents the absolute worst of college sports. In my opinion, MW did take a moral high road (despite my criticism of Nevarez). I will look forward to PAC 2's demise. Welcome to the forum. Respect for the Griz, Bobcats and Vandals but don't want to go FCS for many reasons. There certainly does seem to be opportunity for the northern schools.

Oh, I can only imagine. For those reading, the montana schools are tied. Both would have to leave together.Kudos, Griz! I see Wyoming as an outlier as a northern school with a tiny media market. Are you concerned about getting hung out to dry?
With schools potentially leaving the Mountain West, Wyoming might end up isolated from other teams. This could make it harder for them to get good matchups and keep fans engaged, especially if they don’t have much media coverage.
In today’s college football world, where money and TV deals matter a lot, being in a small market could hurt Wyoming’s chances of staying competitive. What do you think they can do to handle these challenges and stay relevant?
True. But how does that last 10 tasteBut you don’t hold the record![]()
