Wyoming vs. WSU

I come in peace...
Congrats on a great win last night, your team looked solid and played very well considering it was your 1st game, on the road, etc.
I’m excited about our match up because I don’t know what the hell to expect. The Cougars do have some freakishly gifted athletes, 99% reside on the offense, but are young, untested, going to be nervous, ug.. If your defense smells fear and takes advantage, it could be over quickly for the Cougs. And Wyoming could roll. I wouldn’t be surprised a bit.
But it could also turn into a Cougar carnival of big plays and scores. I. Just. Don’t. Know..
I think our defense will be scary bad. We just don’t have the bodies up front. Injuries, defections, mystery disappearances, and Mike Leach will never, ever inform anyone about injuries, suspensions, etc. We have a tiny, tiny front seven. If Wyoming is patient and just continues to do what it’s good at offensively, smash-mouth, grind it out, slip in a play action pass here and there, you will effectively destroy all momentum for WSU. And you will look very good doing it. (Check out Washington’s first drive in the Apple Cup last year, that’s what I picture Wyoming doing).
I am calling this a win for Wyoming and a convincing one. Cougars are just too young and thin in 2018. And don’t let anyone call this an upset. You clearly have the more dominant team this year.

Welcome aboard and thanks for the kind words! After next week, I’ll be hoping to see your boys have a great season.

Yeah, we didn't know what to expect of our offense going into NMSU either. Considering last year, we were lucky to hit 200 yards of total offense with poor pass protection and such.

But defense, they look even better than last year, and they were the best defense in the MWC.

Welcome to the board.

Appreciate the kind words. I wouldn't sell your team so short though.

Leach is a good coach and Wyoming will have to play a very good game to win this. While the Wyoming defense looks good. The offense didn't do anything to impress me much last night. Or I should say we don't really know what the offense is capable of yet based on the competition so far. They did what they needed to do against a smaller school. We will see if they can make any noise against better competition this next weekend.

Look forward to the game. Good luck to the Cougs this year except this weekend!

Just a side note re: Josh Allen. Holy shit. That guy is a future Hall O’ Farmer. Call me a homer or whatever. Guilty, so caught up in the PAC, not ever paying attention to other teams, players or conferences.. good lord, I know he’s raw but having seen that guy first hand, holy f#$&! How strong is his arm? And how lucky are you all to call him your own. Freakishly strong QB. Unreal arm. No one I’ve seen in the PAC-12 like him since Luck or, cough, cough, Leaf. No one. He’s going to be a special one, mark my words.

Was looking at the cougar rivals board tonight. The vast majority of posters feel strongly that wsu will win because they have the better athletes. Many (not all) feel like they will win quite handily! I really hope we can get this one. It would be great motivation for the rest if the season.

I would bet anything we've got better "athletes" than them on defense. That's why the game is played on the field

Can't wait should be a fun game at the War, welcome to 7220 Cougs, can we have ESPN Gameday and that dude waving the WSU flag, lol....
