I come in peace...
Congrats on a great win last night, your team looked solid and played very well considering it was your 1st game, on the road, etc.
I’m excited about our match up because I don’t know what the hell to expect. The Cougars do have some freakishly gifted athletes, 99% reside on the offense, but are young, untested, going to be nervous, ug.. If your defense smells fear and takes advantage, it could be over quickly for the Cougs. And Wyoming could roll. I wouldn’t be surprised a bit.
But it could also turn into a Cougar carnival of big plays and scores. I. Just. Don’t. Know..
I think our defense will be scary bad. We just don’t have the bodies up front. Injuries, defections, mystery disappearances, and Mike Leach will never, ever inform anyone about injuries, suspensions, etc. We have a tiny, tiny front seven. If Wyoming is patient and just continues to do what it’s good at offensively, smash-mouth, grind it out, slip in a play action pass here and there, you will effectively destroy all momentum for WSU. And you will look very good doing it. (Check out Washington’s first drive in the Apple Cup last year, that’s what I picture Wyoming doing).
I am calling this a win for Wyoming and a convincing one. Cougars are just too young and thin in 2018. And don’t let anyone call this an upset. You clearly have the more dominant team this year.
