D-Mo on the other hand...
You can only be a Debbie Downer if people agree with what you say.ragtimejoe1 said:Frankly, I'd be surprised if the D wasn't the strongest unit at this point. With that said, it is concerning that it sounds as if the D pretty much had their way. Folks, this is the 106th ranked defense in the country last year in arguably the weakest MWC ever.
I doubt a few months in the weight room and a new scheme somehow magically changed them into even a top 75 unit at this point. Yes, I know about the TOP issues and the bind our O put our D in, but still we were only statistically better than 14 other teams and we played in a weak @ss conference.
I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer here, but I think the defensive dominance is more a reflection of just how bad our O is at this point. Still a long time to kickoff and I am optimistic we will improve. However, between the Tampa 2 and switch to pro-style, I am more than a little concerned for this season.
Completely agree.....luckily we still have 5 OL with starting experience.fromolwyoming said:We really can't afford to lose any more o-linemen now, especially at OT. Otherwise, the guys in the bckfield are going to be lucky to be healthy by mid-season.
