I don't think anyone on this board would ever suggest I was one of the complacency brigade. Shyatt has shown consistent progress. This year, he is starting one senior. We have already beaten last season's conference record, with several games to go.ItSucksToBeACSURam said:Wyovanian said:I think you should change your name to ItSucksToBeACSURam to ItSucksToBeACSURamAndAnIdiotAboutBasketballToo.ItSucksToBeACSURam said:RPI improving means nothing if were not winning games.... Awesome we have a higher than normal RPI. We're still a shitty team. And why can't we be a contender now? CSU did it in one year.Wyo2dal said:Everyone is an armchair coach and knows better, Go coach a team if you know better.
2009 - 10-21 (3-13) RPI - (228)
2010 - 10-21 (3-13) RPI - (243)
2011 - 21-12 (6-8) RPI - (82)
2012 - 20-14 (4-12) RPI - (71)
2013 - 14-9 (5-5) RPI - (96) with 8 games to go.
If at the end of the season we are 15-16 (6-12) then you can bitch about this team not getting any better. Until then seriously STFU and enjoy the fact as a team we are getting better, Contrary to popular belief you don't turn a 10 win program around to contend for titles in 2 years.
Sure last year was rough we got really screwed going into conference play losing our #2 player on the roster but the simple fact is this team is better than it was a year ago and better than it was two years ago.
Jes' sayin'...

Because I don't subscribe to the belief that good enough is good enough and believe we can be great now I'm and idiot about basketball huh?
I know, the close losses are frustrating, and the frustration emotionally mounts, but Eustachy inherited a great deal of talent and cohesion whereas Shyatt stepped into fragmentation and a bare cupboard. It took Steve Fisher more than a decade to get SDSU to the level they're at now. To suggest that there's something lacking in the vision Shyatt has for Wyoming Basketball is, at this point, quite frankly, ludicrous.
