WYO @ SJSU

Man oh man if Nance hit that shot at the end of the NM game and Grabau could have hit a 3 at the end of the UNLV game we would be in 2nd with NM!

adams does not look the same offensively since his suspension...

He will be OK once his fist heals up.[/quo

Lol!

We need a big crowd in fort Collins next Saturday. We need some payback for what they did to us last year.

DAMN. Ugly wins are wins just the same but wow. That has to be the worst game we've played all year. Were lucky we played a team having a sh*ttier day than us.

Not much different than the UNLV game a few weeks back. We sucked offensively, and didn't quite have the D to pull off the "W".
We are a team bred around destructive D, but if our O is playing just as bad we have an SJSU game, or a UNLV game, or even UNM game last year in Abq.
If our D is destructive and we play even decent offensively the. We can typically have games like SDSU this year and last year in Laramie.

Anyway, 16-9 and what is it? 7 wins in conf now?
I wears kind of down on this team about after we lost to Denver and played terrible against BHSU and Western, but they have rallied. I'm proud of these guys, and I do agree, we may be CBI or maybe NIT this year, but we will be NCAA bound next year, barring no major losses to our program. Thank you Coach Shy, I'm feeling confident again.

Score of the game was actually lower than the football game we played against them earlier this year. Who could imagine we would hold them to 9 pts in a 1/2 BB game and give up 35 second 1/2 pts. in a football game? It's a weird world.

I will take the win.

Wyoming was playing with a bit of a hangover today after the huge win over San DIego St. the other night so the fact they could go on the road and get the win whether it be by 1 or 100 is great by me.

Now we just need to dispatch of Fresno St. in Laramie on Tuesday night.

Let the run continue! Hope we can go on a long winning streak.

Played great defensively in the second half....here are my observations

1) SJSU is really bad, when they get confident and hit the three ball they can do some damage, but take the three ball out of the equation and they are bad team at best

2) Hey we survived. Offensively, that was a really bad performance. But it happens. Luckily our defense keeps us in games, and basketball is an offensive and defensive game. Pulled out an 8 point road win with arguably our worst offensive of the year.

3) Don't look to deep into this being a "letdown" . Believe it or not, San Jose State almost beat New Mexico and CSU at home. Plus we are coming off arguably the biggest win we have had in the past decade. We survived on the road, never wilted, missed free throws, missed rebounds, missed WIDE open threes, and came away with a win. I think this "bad" win will help us. We will come out ready to play against Fresno, and then its the border war baby. Lets get it done one game at a time, and see what can happen.

SIDE NOTE: UNLV starting to look real dangerous. Winning on the road in Logan is huge.

Cut the pokes a little slack here. We won, and we just jumped Nevada barring a miracle!
Utah State is the most over-rated team in the conference.

And Fresno, (our next opponent) is the most under-rated.

w/e shoes he was wearing he needs to retire those, He never really had good basketball traction on the floor. I think he tried to do the splits like 3-4 times. I don't think it was an issue with his play I think it was the shoes.

I did re-watch the game and it was kind of bad but not near as bad as it was made out to be. The first time I watched it I was at work so I couldn't really pay attention. However when I watched the full game the 2nd half shooting was pretty terrible by both teams but more so by SJSU.

I think it was ok overall we ended up shooting 40% from the field which wasn't even a season low for us, and that 53% from the line was embarrassing but also not as bad as it could have been.

I think there is something to be said for playing this bad and still getting the W. I also think because of how the team has played this season we are all starting to set higher expectations which is a good thing.

a win on the road at anytime during conf season is just what the doctor ordered, time to hold serve on homecourt tonight, I wasn't impressed with saturdays win, but it's still a W!!!!
