Adams steps up as Cowboys' leader in difficult circumstances

Leadership is easy when things are going well.

Wins pile up, and everybody is happy. A team is never more together than when riding a winning streak, accomplishing all of its dreams.

New roster, new approach results in win for Cowboys (WyoSports.net)

“I thought this was one of our best offensive performances of the entire season when I look at the mental part of the game,” Shyatt said. “We have a new roster now. We need to push the pace and see if we can get some transition hoops. But we can’t do that unless we get some stops.”

“I felt confident,” Adams said. “If my teammates have confidence in me then I have confidence in myself,” “I said in an interview earlier this week that eventually our shots were going to fall, and everybody was hitting shots tonight.”

Pack vows focus won't waiver with Wyoming down Nance

"We're not going to take them lightly just because Larry Nance is out," said Wolf Pack guard Marqueze Coleman, who scored a career-best 24 points Saturday. "We've been through that before with Colorado State. We don't want to take them lightly at all because we know they're a very good basketball team."

Wolf Pack notes: ... … Beer at Tuesday's game against Wyoming will be sold at half price ($4).

It hurts every time I watch a road game and fans are enjoying a frothy beverage. Come on UW get off your holy roller high horse and sell the adults some adult beverages.

Cowboys take new offensive approach on road tonight (WyoSports.net)

“(West) really runs the floor on offense really well. If your bigs aren’t running, he’s got a mismatch right off the bat,” Shyatt said. “He wins the game against New Mexico on a missed free throw (and) a missed block-out, and he not only gets a rebound but dunks it for the game-winner. He’s certainly grabbing high-level stats and earning them and earning his place not only in our league but nationally.”
