How motivated do you think the Rams will be coming off that loss to New Mexico, and also knowing Wyoming has not won at Moby Arena since 2009?

I don’t think there’s any doubt regarding how fired up Colorado State will be. With how well both of these teams have played the past few seasons, the Border War has turned into quite the basketball rivalry – that’s not something you could during much of the Miles era, including 2009.

Wyoming prepares for clashing strengths in Border War vs. Colorado State

“We’ve always prided ourselves on defense. That’s our identity," senior forward Derek Cooke Jr. said. "So we want every team that plays us to say, ‘OK, this is a great defensive team. We’re not going to be able to do our thing against them. We’re going to have to come up with a different strategy, because they’re not going to let us score 80 or 90 points.’

"That’s always something we look forward to, whether it’s CSU, New Mexico, UNLV. We’re just looking to play our style of basketball.”

CSU, Wyoming adopting personality of veteran coaches

“We’re all here for each other, so we know how to fight through adversity together,” said Joe De Ciman, a junior guard at CSU. “Our togetherness is where we always see a similarity with Wyoming. They’re one of the most together teams I’ve seen in our conference, and that’s why our games are always so tough, because we know they aren’t going to break down and go away from who they really are and turn on each other.”

Border War among college basketball's underrated rivalries

"It really isn't a huge game to people in New York, but ... I have noticed the more I'm here, there's a real rivalry among the (Wyomingite) and the Coloradan, and it doesn't have anything to do with basketball," Eustachy said. "They think they're the real cowboys and there are some real cowboys in Colorado, too, so it's kind of a culture divide, if you will, in some people's minds."

Another garbage article written by Matt Stephens. That guy is a major hack.

I read the article, and he may be a hack, but he wasn't wrong in what he wrote.

Sure he had a CSU bias in it, but that's to be expected with an article written for the Coloradoan.

He was right about the fans outside a small amount of us being hardcore, he was right about the two schools hating eachother, he was right about the rivalry not having a ton of acknowledgement.

I can not fucking wait for tomorrows game. We need this win. Bad.

Boise, New Mexico, and Air Force have all lost their top player to injury for the season.

If there was ever a time to rise up in the hierarchy of the MWC...

Veteran Cowboys seek first win at Colorado State (WyoSports.net)

UW senior forward Larry Nance Jr. said he is motivated to win today for his coach, but also to get his first career win at Colorado State.

“It’s absolutely a motivating factor,” he said. “I was talking with (assistant coach) Jeremy Shyatt about how we’ve never won at Colorado State, UNLV, San Diego State and Fresno State. This game is the most important because it’s our next game. Hopefully, we can do it this time.”

Only loss is at the pit. Going undefeated and without a truly terrible team on their schedule thus far inflated it quite a bit.
