I think our future opponents just shit themselves.

+1

God, if we get this win, along with the Boise, and SDSU wins, I will be fucking over the top in terms of where this team can go.

MUST BEAT THE SHEEP!!!!

Yeah you can tell Larry Has looked better the last 3 games then he did before that. He went into a little bit of a slump when playing against SMU and CAL and a couple of other games. He looks like he is starting to progress now and getting more confident.

Good thing to see. Wyoming started getting better during conference play last year as well until Nance got hurt. So hopefully they will keep getting better from here on out.

I think the fact they had so many games early in the season without any real time off to practice helped Larry by throwing him to the wolves, but then started to hinder the recovery because he had no off time. Then the entire finals week rested him, followed by the 2 games (Southern, @MtSU) got him going a little bit more, then the entire X-mas break resting up again, may have been what he really wanted and needed. He definitely looks better lately, and he also seems much more confident.

Now that MWC play is here and the games are wed-sat, (for the most part) his body should get into that routine. And by body I mean his ACL. I think if he gets any better, he is a lock to win MWC POY and be drafted. If he stays at his level now, he will be a serious contender for MWC POY.

Wyoming G Adams thriving as distributor in junior season

Adams' selflessness is a skill, tirelessly developed through two years of competition on the Mountain West stage. Now, he's able to identify the best available shot, even when it isn't his own.

“I’m definitely seeing the game a lot better once I get inside the paint," Adams said. "Instead of finishing over some of these monsters…sometimes I’m capable of doing that, but other times it’s not the best decision.

"Being able to distinguish between the two is definitely a major improvement in my game.”

CSU, Wyoming both riding high entering Border War

“We know the Border War is always something special here and in Wyoming, in Laramie, but what makes it so special I think is the talent on both teams and the coaching staff on both teams,” said CSU’s Joe De Ciman, a junior guard. “… It just makes it better when we know both teams are doing well.”

“We’ll give Wyoming our best shot,” CSU senior forward J.J. Avila said. “We know they’re going to come and play hard; we’re going to play harder.”

UW senior Nance earns several honors after big week (WyoSports.net)

“I didn’t notice my personal stats, but we’re 3-0 over those games, so I can’t complain,” Nance said.

“I’m very comfortable with my game,” said Nance, who was voted preseason MW player of the year by the media. “Guys are getting me in good position to score.

“I’m getting a little bit of defensive effort back. I’m just really pleased with how we’re playing as a team and me individually. Basketball is going pretty good right now.”

SBNation: Wyoming basketball is becoming a mile-high nightmare for opponents

"Jeff Van Gundy, a dear friend, has said for years, 'Please don't tell me you have a great player at any level unless he's your best defensive player and nearly your best offensive player,'" said Shyatt. "Larry Nance in particular sort of captains the defense. He covers up a lot of sins and a lot of mistakes for us."

At the moment, it's all paying off. By allowing only 51.9 points per game, Wyoming has the third-stingiest defense in the country.

"If you don't play D, you're not going to play here," Nance Jr. said. "We all bought into that and stressed it on each other."

Stanton Kidd questionable for Border War vs. Wyoming

CSU basketball coach Larry Eustachy told the Coloradoan on Monday that Kidd’s status is “very, very questionable” due a sprained ankle he suffered during the Rams’ 66-53 loss at New Mexico on Saturday. Kidd was in uniform at practice Monday, but was wearing sandals and did not participate.

Notes and Quotes: Wyoming prepares for Border War

Shyatt, a longtime coaching veteran, heaped a large amount of praise onto his team during Monday's teleconference.

“From a coaching standpoint and a personal standpoint, it’s probably the most enjoyable group I’ve ever been around, including the two national championship teams at Florida," Shyatt said. "My DNA and their DNA is one and the same. They are great kids.

"They just polished off another semester with about a 2.8 GPA. I think they’ve had a 3.0 average for about nine straight semesters. They represent what a lot of us still believe in in college athletics. They represent a lot of great things.”
