We just got another commit

Per Gagliardi on Twitter:
Just confirmed that @wyo_football landed its 11th known verbal commitment from Nebraska OL/DL Rudy Stofer from Kearney, Neb. Thursday.

Hudl highlights. I've seen him listed as tall as 6'6" and as heavy as 255.

Need to add some beef, but the frame is good sized.

With the changes Bohl and his lifting staff have done with guys like Granderson and Ghaifan, I'm not worried. Seriously those guys were 200 and 255 coming in last year. In one year you have 243 and 295 respectfully. I see a lot of upswing in these big frames Wyo is getting.

From June:

I just think this dude has the build that should have Division One programs chomping at the bit. Last season, Stofer looked so lean on his then 6-4, 240 frame and still maintains that appearance these days. 262 pounds spread out on a 6-6 frame gives the look of a lean, mean, quick-as-a-wink tackling machine and a menacing figure to a quarterback.

That's Rudy Stofer all the way. Check this one out. His bench press is listed as 225. If you are on Kearney's 2016 schedule and buy that one, I have some swampland in Florida I'd like talk to you about.

Stofer's leg strength alone is enough to convince you the kid is a force in the weight room. And we haven't even talked offense yet. You just aren't going to find a bunch of young guys running around Nebraska high school football fields that have a frame like Rudy Stofer offers. If I were a D1 recruiter, I'd make my presence felt at Stofer's front door, as well as Gretna's Patrick Arnold.

So, where exactly are all these 6'6 guys gonna play? Can only have so many at the Tackle spot.
This one might be a DE imo

Don't you mean DTs?

Not often you see DTs over 6'4, at most.

Ja'Chai Baker. 6'5" or 6'6". They don't fit our profile for DEs. We recruit fast undersized guys for DE and put weight on them. When we're further along in our program, they'll all redshirt to get weight on. If they were 6'6" 220, I'd see them as an eventual DE, but these guys aren't particularly fast and if they aren't on the OL, they could be DT. I expect most of them to be on the OL

At his size, Stofer is already comparable to Granderson's build. I don't see why he couldn't come in and play right away as a DE.

But I do think the initial plan is for most of these guys to start on offense.
