I'd rather have fans that want us in the BCS than fans that want us in the FCS. :twocents:

Nobody would love us in the BCS more than me, believe me. What I really want, though, is for us to be consistently competitive, whichever level that is at.

^ What Sdpokefan says. But what it actually means is ," No one would love Wy to be in the BCS more than me, but since we can't, and since we struggle with winning now, we better just drop a division so I can cheer on winning again."

That's actually pretty spot on! I hope Bohl and his staff make me eat my words!

We would NOT win in FCS...end of discussion.

At NDSU Bohl and Vigen were very slow to make QB changes. Many thought they were too slow, especially in the two years that preceeded the 3 titles. It will be interesting to see how they handle it in Laramie. I think Bohl and his staff are very solid. The weakest link is Vigen. Many questioned his play calling at NDSU.....but then again it is hard to argue with 3 titles. I think Laramie will be a real test to see how Vigen does.

If that's the way you think, why did you end up defendin' him? Every single coach, top to bottom, will be tested this year.

It's Sdpokefan, get ready for the "this guy sucks!", "this team sucks!", " this group sucks!", "these coaches were supposed to be good.", "But I'm still a big fan, and anyone that questions my comments can F off! Especially if I question anyone else on here..."

Thanks for the insight-all of you who replied. He really is Howdy Doody! Seen his type over the years and in a number of different conferences and divisions. My Dad used to call 'em baby birds-all mouth and a**hole.

OK OK, sorry. I forgot there is no logic allowed on this message board. Kirkegaard is going to throw for 5,000 yards and win the Heisman.

The point I was trying to make was that Kirk is untested at this level. There's not enough data. He was good leading up to Wyoming, and yes, what players did in high school and JC does matter, as that's the data the coaches use to determine who offer, etc.

Against Cal Poly, up until his last pass of the game, which was indeed a disaster for the team, he had completed 68% of his passes and he ran for over 5 yards per carry. He carried out the game plan as assigned, as far as I could tell. That loss was a team effort. Let's see how he does against some very tough competition early in the year to determine his ability. He hasn't been bad, he just hasn't been good. Not enough snaps or opportunity yet.

I think the best numbers we can hope for are Aaaron Young JUCO numbers. 2,000 yds passing 19 tds 9 int. I think it will be more like 1800 yds, 12td 9 int, ACS sophmore numbers without the rushing yards.

his JC stats were 22tds and 3int for about 2,000 yards!
