It's pretty obvious that we've struggled as Hank has struggled. That's 8 or 9 points a game we're missing. I'd rather not see him shoot at all. He's missed lots of lay ups. The season is not done. We can win the tourney. Unfortunately, we're ice cold and Boise and Utah st are red hot

Adams is seriously the only one who shows any fire. Cooke tried, but he was going up against some good comp tonight. But again, Cooke shows up one night, vanishes the next. Nance doesn't look like himself at all.
Grabau! I don't know a good free throw shooter that doesn't get himself to the line! Fine with six three attempts, but get to the foul line!

And Herndon and McM, they are too timid. They are afraid to take shots. Hence why you only see 1 to 3 shots a game from them.
And why the hell are we playing Bentz? At least put in Gorski or Liebs! They at least give you a chance at a score.

The Pokes have two weeks to get back into their early season form. Nance is not close to being there yet....but I have faith. Too many bad turnovers again. Think we need to work other guys into the rotation if we're in a scoring drought. And I'd much prefer to see Lieberman or Gorski out there over Bentz. UNLV did shoot about twice their average from the arc. That didn't hurt them. It is tough to beat a team on the road that hits 60% on 20 shots from the 3.

We are terrible.
At the beginning of the year I was thinking Wyo would be in the Big Dance and the Beavs would be lucky to hit the CBI.
Now I think Wyo would be lucky to get the NIT, and the Beavs have a real shot at the NIT.
What a shameful waste of a season.

Everybody shoots well against the Pokes. There has to be a reason. Bad defense perhaps?

We are going nowhere. Outside of Josh and Cooke and Nance at 50%, we have a supporting cast of division 2 bench players. Shyatt has failed to put the complimentary pieces in place to support a top 2 finish and potential big dance invite together in a 3 consecutive season stretch. Let's face it we don't have the horses. I don't see us winning another game, regrettably. The truth sucks.

I think we play pretty good defense. We defend the paint first. If we are going to give up open looks, it will be the 3. That strategy worked great against csewe - who couldn't throw a pea in the ocean all night - twice. But when teams get hot, we get burned. We are not athletic enough or big enough to defend everything well. But still, we had a lot of turnovers and missed shots and with about 6 minutes to go, Adams had a 3 to tie the game. We needed a big game out of Nance and we didn't get it. He looks a bit rusty and his energy level is probably still not normal.
