UNLV

Notice how UNLV players are all over their man, making it hard to get off a shot? Notice how the Pokes let UNLV get off a lot of uncontested shots? Notice how UNLV can get inside uncontested, while Nance has 3 around him when he gets the ball? That is why I predicted a loss. I expect a mini-blowout 2-nd half. God, I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it.

It's true. We are soft as Charmin. When teams get physical with us we fold. Maybe that's why we always have 3x the TOs as our opponents. We don't get after it on d. ever.
 
Biggest problem has been our ball handling and the athletics of UNLV's guards. We aren't taking care of the ball for shit. I haven't watched the boys for awhile. Glad I'm catching this game.
 
How does every team absolutely kill us from three point range? I don't understand why we don't guard the perimeter better?
 
Well I can see why some fans are upset now. I think most the criticism has been pretty fair. That said though we have 2 big players with mono.
 
Adams is the only reason we are still even remotely close to UNLV someone else needs to step up and do it right now. To be honest I think Adams gives the rest of the team plenty time to step up which is why he scores in spurts but no one is stepping up so as far as I'm concerned he should just take it to the hole every attempt.
 
There are like 2 players on the Pokes that close out and guard the 3 pointer it's fucking pathetic.
 
Perimeter D has been awful all year. Just not long enough or athletic at the guard position. Other than Adams and he just get lost on D at times.

But Josh is starting to find his dribble penetration game the last few weeks.

I don't think Adams gets lost as much as he tries way to had to guard multiple perimeter players and he isn't fast enough to cover multiple players but he tries really hard.

Adams is far and away the best perimeter defender we have.
