UNLV @ UW

If it weren't for shit FT shooting by the Rebels we would already be beat but as it is we have practically no chance with the current line up. Put Adams back in the game FFS.

If there is any player on the team that deserves more minutes it's Adams.

The Rebels are shooting just as bad from the line so I'll give you that one.

Pokes are 46% from the line and the Rebs are 57%....

Good news:The kids got a chance to squeak out a tight game.
Bad news: the fact that I have to spin blowing a 20 point lead as good news...

I was disappointed in the second half by the entire team and coaching staff.

Another thing I dislike to see is coach Edwards *appear* to sulk on the bench.
But not as much as you dislike seeing him put in the wrong players at the wrong time, I presume.

57% isn't exactly something to be proud about. Both teams shot like shit from the line.

While we're throwing players under the bus, Herndon had an awful game - 2-9 from the field and a big 3 rebounds. There was a lot of standing around watching Vegas get 1 offensive board after another. The problem is: the players responsible for that big lead at the half, James and Dalton, were on the bench.

We had 3 guys in double figures, Adams, Dalton, and James. We get no offense from Lieberman, Jmac, and Naughton. We can't have those 3 on the court at the same time - and they all start! If Herndon has a game like tonight, we have one of the worst starting lineups in the conference.

I actually didn't care as much about his lineups tonight. Thought he managed his personell better than most games. Would have liked to see Adams in over JMac but I understand you're not going to sit a senior an entir half

James is playing terrible tonight. He might be worse than McManamen which says a lot. The referees keep calling really weak crap on him which isn't helping.

I'm losing a lot of the faith I had in Edwards. His teams have consistently been a let down after huge leads.

Can't tell if you were being sarcastic or not... If not for James we lose this game badly. And can anybody explain why Adams is on the bench for the last 13? minutes of the game? I'm not exactly sure when he was subbed out but it seemed like an eternity.

On the postgame report they were talking to coach, and it seemed like he gave somewhat of a reason why James rides the pine at times. He said something to the effect of: James has tremendous talent and there is nobody who can guard him one on one -- but he doesn't stick to the scheme the team is playing in. That makes me wonder what our scheme really is. It has always just appeared to be a slash/drive offense, which is what James does. He, Adams, and Dalton are the only ones who do it with any success. Not saying that this is the only reason, but maybe that is one of them?

Jmac needs to play 8 minutes a game until he gets laid or whatever it is that is bugging him

James had a good stretch toward the end of the game. Earlier in the second half, he had two incredibly stupid fouls and gave up two offensive rebounds to a little freshman guard because he didn't even attempt to box his guy out. Terrible may have been too strong of a word, but he made a lot of bad/lazy plays during the second half comeback.

I would guess he was talking about the defensive scheme because the offensive scheme is Larry Shyatt's pass the ball around the perimeter and don't look to make a useful cut approach with the focus being on shooting any open shot instead of killing the clock.

Lieberman plays some of the worst defense I've ever seen. He can't stay in front of his man to save his life. Most of the baskets UNLV got in the second half were because he was beat off the dribble. Plus he picks up the stupidest, most needless fouls I've ever seen. I don't think I've ever seen a player at UW as bad as him that gets as many minutes. I honestly can't think of one, ever.

lol. He was by far the best defender last night. He got open look after open look, great looks that just weren't falling. He's a master at getting into the paint. Oh, and he singlehandedly won the game for us.

LAst 90 seconds he scores 5 points, forces a huge TO, gets a huge offensive rebound and plays terrific full court d to contest the last shot without fouling. We're lucky Edwards found it in his heart to play him.
