Fake classes at Chapel Hill.. where were these classes when I was in college??

I heard about this UNC thing a while back.
I know a lot of athletes through the years who got easy opportunities.

Something else I heard about in the past is that.........
There are Universities out there who did (probably still do) pay good money to the players and also make courses easy by using scantron tests.
So the athletes take a scantron test along with the other students in the classroom and then those could be replaced by scantron tests filled out for them with higher scores if needed.
This was used a lot before writing requirements became more popular but still that doesn't stop them from finding other ways like giving athletes so many more tutoring advantages than most other students can have.
So it appears that a lot of athletes graduated off of scantron tests.
Well, that's what I was told so maybe it's true and maybe it's not.

I have some papers somewhere (of someone I was very close to) where he explained in an interview what his schedule was like as a football player at his University in the Big Ten (years ago now).
There was a schedule time for the team to do it's homework together.

Wow.....where did you hear that? I'd like to know just how they switch out scantron's for others. And how do you find out about something like that? My professors didn't show the scantron's to anyone....That's a pretty huge issue...for a school that doesn't win in football, UNC takes cheating to shocking levels.

If the scantron thing was true (or is true) it's easy. Someone would make a duplicate for the athletes. It's something old. Maybe it's not done anymore if it ever was done.

So if Professor Cheater (who wants to help the football team win and is in on all the cheatin' stuff) grades the Great Dumb Rocks for Jocks football player's scantron test and it's a 10/100 he just gets rid of it and fills in another scantron test for the athlete and grades it and it's a passing grade.
I won't name the Universities I heard this old stuff about but I know that they are still among the powerhouses programs where cheating still happens.
It won't get stopped as long as the $$ is being made.
But I did believe what I heard.......
But at the same time I wasn't there in person to know for sure etc.

So a rouge professor must be involved? Either way if these allegations are true UNC will be hurting more than ever. If they cheat like this for football, I'd love to see an investigation for basketball.

UW isn't exactly making it tough on their football players either, as anybody who's ever been in a group project with a player would know.

Still not sure how a football player that showed up to one (out of 30+) group meeting on a project worth 40% of the grade managed to pass the class. 3 out of 6 people in the group jumped ship and dropped the class, I ended up with a D despite 90+% on both midterm and final. Professor said "no excuses" about the project, despite it being just two people working on it (and the other guy was a dude whose wife left him and their 2-year old kid halfway through the semester) and it being a semester-long deal sized for 5.

Anyway, I still have no idea how the star defensive end didn't fail the class. In order to have earned the C he got, he would've had to hit over 97% on both exams. The problem being that the best score on either exam was like 94. Another problem being that said football player also didn't understand the subject at all.
