Time to Fire Vigen.

It should've happened last season. Nothing's changed this year. Same predictable offense that can't stay on the field consistently and gives our opponents the chance to take over.

This just can't be defended. Year 5, and same issues keep cropping up. We can only beat teams we dominate with our offensive line, and even then it's usually uncomfortably close. 27 points out of 13 offensive possessions last week, and 17 points and 200 yards in this one with 14 possessions.

TVW and receivers are mid-level fcs talent at the moment. They might get better, but it is what it is for now.

Or maybe part of that is because everybody in the universe knows we have to throw and go long on third down because we need 8-12 yards on average to move the sticks.

I bet TVW's numbers would look a lot better if he occasionally got to throw a quick strike to Conway or one of the TEs on first down once in a blue moon. Kind of like how we did for a short bit vs New Mexico State early in the game when he was 8/8.

He looks like a development player. He certainly could turn into something special but has a long way to go. I think Vigen is protecting him with play calling based on what he's seen in practice. His velocity and accuracy at this point are suspect.

I'm not being debbie downer but right now, our offense is mostly fcs-level. With time and development, it might get better.

I'm not a Vigen fan, just pointing out that I think some of the play calling is driven by the "just don't put them in a position to screw up" mentality.

After the 2 win season both Vigen and Stanard should have been let go. Bohl waited one additional year of horrible defense to make the Standard change and it worked wonders. Unfortunately, we have waited 3 more years and counting on Vigen.

The “they had better recruits” argument doesn’t work either…Vigen should quit to spare Bohl from firing him.
The recruiting services usually get it wrong west of the Big 12 but the numbers can be looked at for reference. The difference in last years recruiting class between WASU and WYO is an average star rating of 2.74 vs 2.21. The one four star from that WASU class was good for 5 receptions and 73 yards. They were 11th in their conference and we were 5th in ours. Head to head, not a big talent gap. WYO as a program made progress. The Wyoming facilities and infrastructure are there and competes with anyone in the Pac 12. For perspective, no’s 1& 2 in the SEC Alabama and Georgia had an average recruiting rating of 4.1 and 3.69 stars respectively. The 14th team in the SEC, Vanderbilt averaged 2.75 stars. BTW Colorado State had a 2.27. If he really wants to install the power option I, or the veer, Vigen should head to a small high school in New Hampshire.

There is enough talent everywhere else to win games. Even with post poor recievers we still could have won that game. WSUs talent outside of WR is no better than ours.
