The Book is out on Bohl

Any chance he gets fired now...thrown to the wolves as a sacrifice?....

None now.

If we go 0-12, and enough big $$$ alumni raise enough Hell and put their money where their mouth is, maybe a firing and buyout happens.

Even after this fiasco, I don't see that THIS year...

I can see the administration telling Bohl, either get rid of some assistants or we'll get rid of you.

Yo folks. Lighten up. I'll bet Dino sucked his first year on the job. Beav too for that matter.

Much better attitude and effort. These guys are figuring it out.

Yes they did suck their first year but not their SECOND.

I dunno. Look at Dino with his pseudonyms. Beav isn'tuch better with his first. I, of course, am full of good shit now.

Vigen made adjustments, and the oline did better. I didn't see any defensive improvement this week. Some better individual performances, but not better overall team defense.

I didn't see last week. I did see marked improvement today after the 2d quarter.

I've got a career full of watching youngsters figure shit out. this team will do ok, but some crowd support would be good.

See you you in pullman? BTW the cougs are 0-2 too. My god my teams suck.

Biggest difference with Dimels teams and now is, we did have a defense that stopped the run and hit HARD,so far,not so much, can't wait till we see some of that again!!!!! It's always been a Wyo fan but I come back year in and year out, cya in Pullman too

Marked improvement? Were we watching the same game? I saw a team that was up 31 points at the half, which has a terrible run defense to begin with, go vanilla and run out of oxygen.

If the Cowboys want to keep running that offense, paired with the softest zone defense I've ever seen, you should get used to seeing a lot of backups getting meaningful snaps for the opponents, as 38-7 halftime scores will start becoming a regularity.

I saw a young team lose their 2d string qb and their poise, and then decide to play football instead of quitting, despite a 3rd string qb who was scared shitless. That's marked improvement from the team that was playing touch, poorly, during the first half.

Small steps, folks. Ya'll are all butthurt that we're not a top 20 team, when we're still learning how to tie our shoes. These guys have the potential to be decent. I hope sooner rather than later, because that 1st half was bad, but we will get there.

Since when does a FBS program get a "learning how to tie our shoes" phase? People are not butthurt that we're not a top 20 team. They're butthurt we're looking like the the worst program at the top level of college football and that's not an exaggeration. Name a single team at our level you're confident we can beat. Morningside College would give us a run for the money right now.

FBS my ass. If we complain about BYU and their 30 year old seniors, we need to recognize freshman have a lot of growing before they're truly competitive. They have to walk before they run.

Despite years of practice watching bad football teams (idaho, wsu and wyo) I still hate losing with a passion. I believe we have a chance to win every game, and when we lose, I get pissy. I still support our guys, until they quit. I hate lack of effort even more than losing. Our effort in the 1st half was horrible. I saw us regroup and play some ball instead of playing tag, which is all we did for quite awhile. Probably the hardest thing for young folks to learn is how to maintain quality effort. We might have progressed at that level.

I want to see where this team is at in a few games, as I think we have the talent. With hard work, good coaching, and sustained effort this youth movement will have some success, hopefully this year, because these last 2 games were hard to watch. At the least, the foundation will be made for next year.

No doubt.

On the bright side, I'll be in a much better mood on Saturdays the rest of football season. It's hard to get upset about a loss when you go into a game with no expectation of winning.

So, we are apparently the only team in FBS that has Freshmen?

Each team has 85 scholarships to use (minus penalties). You find the 85 best players you can, and you put them on the field. Our 85 are significantly worse than the vast majority of the rest of the FBS. That's the problem. It's not new guys, it's the talent. Just because a player is 18 or 19 and not 22 or 23, doesn't mean they aren't talented. There are plenty of talented freshmen and sophomores in FBS.

We are the second youngest team behind Wake Forest. Add in Soph or Redfrosh and we are the youngest and completely full of underclassmen...

jj02: point taken. Meanwhile, i hope at least 1 team will play good football next saturday. WSU is 0 - 2 also.
