TCU at Wyoming Question

What % of a chance do you think we have to upset TCU this year?

I say we have about a 30% chance of beating them this year which is a lot better than we have had in years past.

I will not be surprised if we pull the upset (Dave Christensen eventually has to pull one off) but I am not expecting it.

Cold as shit.......TCU looking ahead to their game in Boise......last time Frogs came to Laramie with an inexperienced team, they lost........I'll go with 45%.

Last 3 games against TCU we have been outscored: 144-17
Dave Christensen against TCU: 90-10 (only 7 of the 90 in 4th qtrs)

We are better than we have been the past 3 years (maybe) and TCU is not as good, but chances are still quite low I'd have to admit.

When we beat TCU in 2007, the Frogs finished the year with 5 losses, 4 conference losses. That's not happening this year.

I give it a 15% chance, with heavy snow. 8% chance otherwise.

If SMU can beat them at home we can beat them in Laramie.
Exactly. Lets not overrate this team. Patterson has never been good at reloading....look at their history with him. Wyoming can do this.

Patterson has only finished outside the top 2 of the MW once. I'm starting to think you don't know what you're talking about. Weren't you a B. Smith hater too?

See the 2004 and 2007 seasons. Both years in which Patterson had wholesale changes on both sides of the ball. Struggled to maintain their level of 10+ win seasons. Not saying they were terrible, but like this year, when he loses lots of key players he struggles to keep his team at that ridiculously high level of play. Their still good, but not that good.

Maybe I just have the winning hangover, but I feel really good about our chances next weekend. I am confident it will be a good game. If our defense can make plays, I can easily see us making it a tight game. I would love nothing more than to send the defending Rose Bowl champs to the Big XII with a loss in Laramie.

I think 30% is a pretty good estimate, with snow already added into the calculation, that is. TCU's fallen flat on their faces a few times this season, the question is if they learned from it or not.

Yeah, even though I hate "moral victories," it'd be nice if the only way we lost was if TCU played a great game, and it still was close.

There's not much that would be sweeter than a solid win, though. Especially right after TCU beat BYU.

Looks like we are 20 point dogs to TCU in this game. We can do it, but we need to play all 4 quarters.

I guess Im the only one who could give a shit less about the "spread". Seriously fuck those assholes who come up with that betting bullshit

Ok, don't pay any attention to the betting bs. We still need to play all 4 quarters in this game - and by that I mean we need to play our asses off.

Nice sig!

That Utah St game is befuddling. WTF happened there?

1) SDSU figured out how to stop Pokes in second half. Pokes got minus one yard 4th quarter.
2) TCU allows only 11 pts per conf. game. So defensive coaching is top notch - better than SDSU.
3) Conclusion: Game mainly TCU defensive coaching vs. Poke offensive coaching. Advantage TCU.
4) Wild card: Weather. Bad weather will FAVOR TCU because a) the warm-weather boys will realize that this
is a problem and get the adrenaline flowing. b) the Poke passing game will be hampered, c) the TCU
running game not so much.
