Game 5!

Pokes look to improve to 5-0 on the season, and in the newly renovated AA.

Stetson doesn't look to be great, but they seem to be a lot better than FAMU.

I think the Pokes need to play strong and empty the bench the final 8 or so minutes of the game.

I know I am a day in advance, but I am ready for the game now, hence the post!

I say Pokes win 70-55. Larry with 20 and 12, most of those coming in the first half, as one final tune up before the OOC schedule gets hard with New Mexico State, Denver, SMU, and Cal in the next couple weeks.

Don't think we'll see such a deep bench rotation so early in the game. Probably won't see Bentz 10 minutes into the game this time.

I'm a little more worried about this one. Being hope we're not looking past them, because they have some decent players and they have size. Their fron'tcourt is 6'8", 6'8" and 7'0" with a 6'11" kid off the bench.

Heres my take. We are better as a team, as a whole, than New Mexico State. NMSU blew them out. I understand that every team plays different styles and scores aren't always indicative of the way a game goes, but I see us dominating this game like we have every game up to this point. I think Shyatt and Co. will be ready, engaged, and ready for tonight. My real concern is, who ends up on Sportscenter tonight?

I'm not going to lie I am a little worried. But I have faith that we will end up blowing them out but as many of you know I tend to count many games as guaranteed wins only to be incredibly surprised and dissapointed.

I'm not worried at all. Wondering how many minutes Gorski or Washington will get if either one of them play. I think the bench will see plenty of minutes tonight.

Oh, I don't think we'll lose at all, but I think it will be about a 10-15 point game, not 20-30.

One major advantage we have is experience.

Would love to see about 8-10 minutes out of Gorski tonight, if available. Definitely looking forward to seeing his skill set.

Honestly I've cooled a little bit on my excitement about Gorski since seeing what McManamen can do. That kid has used his redshirt year to it's fullest! If they can both light it up from the arc we're going to have a very dangerous bench!

Their go to guy is Pegg, listed as a 6'7" guard, who scores 14.6 per game. He is also shown as shooting 72% from the field, pretty high number for a guard, so he should be fun to watch. They only have one other guy in double figures and he averages 12.6 points per game. I am pretty sure they haven't seen a defense like the one Wyoming will throw at them, so the field goal percentages for them should drop a bunch. Sikora is a 7'0" senior, but the other two bigs are both freshmen (Sikora's little brother, he's 6'11" and Ndahiro is 6'9"). This one might be a test early, but the Pokes should take care of business tonight and this one is probably decided 5 minutes into the second half - possibly over by the end of the first half. :twocents:

I think Gorski might be the best recruit in that class. I'm amped to see him play some game minutes.

Competition will only make us stronger and deeper. There's nothing wrong with that. I want to see the Wyoming kid play as much as anyone else, but only if he deserves it. He's looked great this year, but we could always use another 6'5" guy that can shoot lights out.

Pokes taking care of business up 17 at the half. Hatters shooting 19%, Wyoming 58% from the field. Should be able to rest the starters again tonight.
