How many NCAA tourney appearances and thunderous dunks will it take for this to happen? Are we shut out of the official bball gear world forever? Goddamn! Was at the Brown n gold in laramie and was looking for a kids basketball jersey and shorts and they had neither.Was told by a clerk that they didn't put any out any kids jerseys this year due to low sales last year. Bummed me and my son out but hopefully with a good finish to the basketball season maybe more basketball merch will appear.

Those were not there when I placed my order and shit they have Dunk town shirts! Before the majority of the Gold & Brown shirts were all plain they just said Wyoming or had the year the school was established not sport specific.

It just boggles my mind and pisses me off that we aren't on top of this stuff. I mean really you only have to put the work in once on all ends. You get everything set up with Nike and the school, poof its done for the next X amount of years. If I've been wanting a pair of replica Wyoming hoops shorts for about a decade I can't be alone. Shit we do well and get in the tourney people from all around the country might start rocking those. We really should be looking to further our brand but its just kinda half assed. I know part of Wyoming's charm is that its behind the times, but its also part of the reason that bothered me growing up there. We always joked that it was still in the Reagan era....now where are we? Bush 1? Has the internet hit?

Thank god we have some Wyoming fans taking it into the modern era by creating this sweet board! :thumb: We need steps forward just like this in our apparel department and no doubt elsewhere. I guess maybe the money just isn't there seeing as we can't even fill the AA. It's gonna take a monster tourney run for us to get some replica shorts isn't it?

There are also plenty of gray shirts in that link as well. A few badass shirts in there though. Brown and gold always had at least 2 shirts that had me wanting to reach for my wallet. Including the one shown in my avatar...that shirt has seen many demoralizing losses.

In terms of replica Jerseys, Nike will not do it. A year or two ago, I attempted to get custom Wyoming Nike replica jerseys made. I was going to order 100 or so and sell them to lower the cost. After speaking with a Nike team rep, they came back and told me they couldn't do it. I argued with them because I was not using any logos, just colors and fonts. They said that they could not do it since my goal was to copy an existing jersey. I am no sure why we have not seen replica Nike jerseys and shorts for basketball yet. The ones brown and gold sells look like shit. Hopefully winning changes that in the future. Most of next years Nike gear has already been ordered though, so not much time to change now.

The unfortunate thing about Nike at Wyoming is that all of the cool stuff is reserved for the teams/coaching staff. This year, I really wanted the basketball teams Nike Sweatless Jackets that they got. These were not sold through any outlet, so no way to get them. It's disappointing to not be able to buy the cool stuff. Instead, all we can buy is plain looking polo shirts and template based t-shirts that every team gets. Hopefully things change.

I think the biggest issue is they look at the small state and small sporting attendance and assume there is no way they could turn a profit. They just don't realize how quick those would fly off the shelf. Hell I'd buy a knock off if they carrier Wyoming gear.

Yeah you could say its a small market but you never know. What about all the UW grads from the past, their friends, their families etc? That's a market that is ever expanding really, while smaller it is growing. The fact is had Nike released Wyoming bball shorts over the past 8 years I'd probably have bought 3 pairs. What if they do a sweet new update every few years or have 3 color sets? Well maybe I'd purchase again. Man we get the shit end of the stick a lot as Wyoming fans. Seriously the only way we can possibly change this is by becoming a perennial MW powerhouse. Glad you guys are with me on this one, this isn't just shorts its the potential as mentioned above for all kinds of sweet gear. I will let you guys know what I hear back. Problem will be time. I think jersey cost will be under $100, but timing will be an issue. Since these are made from the factory in China, I am not sure turnaround will be quick.
