This is my general inclination as well... When have they ever had 1 let alone 2 random, out of the blue, unscheduled press conferences.....?

I initially thought something like this too. But why have 2 separate pressers? Why not one just huge one unless its two completely separate issues? I am perplexed and growing anxious to hear what this is all about. Really hope Shy isn't leaving

And why stream them live? That alone shows the athletic department values this higher than the spring game, or even last years season opener for football... lol

I would think if they were holding a press conference about funding for the AA being in place to finish they would schedule it a few days out. It wouldn't be this rushed press conference announcement the same day it is announced.

That is why I think Shyatt is retiring. Why the press conference for football the same day as well though? Maybe Bohl is retiring also :lol:

I hope Shy isn't retiring.

If I'm going with BIG news for both, Shy retiring would be one. The other would be that McGinity is canning Burman.

Interim HC for bball is assigned and interim AD is assigned until new president takes over and hires new AD which hires new bball coach?

Still, UW has a knack for overblowing BIG news; hyping a press conference only to have a relatively underwhelming topic.

It will be interesting to see.
