Official Beer of WyoNation

They should have their own breweries in Hawaii - then they wouldn't have to ship it over from the mainland. I think they grow all the ingredients over there too.

Did you see the recent national rankings for brewers per state by capita? Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, Colorado, and Vermont were the top 5. Not in that order. Seems to me Utah wasn't much behind that despite their quirky laws.

We do have some "quirky" laws here for alcohol, we just took a major step with getting rid of the private clubs. For those of us non-members, this is great news. But I don't think we'll ever see the 3.2% beer go away, thank god i'm on a military installation and get normal beer.

Not worried about it, USAF bases fall under Federal law and not the state. That's why I can get normal beer here in Utah versus the 3.2% they sell outside the gates.

Damn you could make a good living running your own store. What Base-X think about selling sex aids, dildoes, dvds, etc?

So... you all can be jealous, I went and filled a growler of our official beer today, Buckin Horse Brew. Also filled a growler of their amber beer, Big Fog. I'll have some pics of the growlers up soon, along with the Buckin' Horse's logo. I also heard a rumor from the girl that filled that growlers that they sell it in 6-packs around Montana.. so if I manage to find some, I'll pick up a 6 and bring it down with me to Laramie for some tailgate refreshment.

This is the logo for the Buckin' Horse Pilsner.

Yeah, I've had that before.. they bring it to Brew Fest here in Missoula every year.. not fantastic.

Pilsners are on my goodie list. Lagers and bitters as well. Not much of an ale fan.

Good choice Mr. T, wood be tickled to get to sample one.

8-)
You realize a bitter is an ale, right?

Again, I think an official Poke beer needs to be a macro-brew, and a cheap one at that. If you want to drink a micro with your caviar as your sit in your lexus, then fine. But when you're standing in the parking lot, with some college kids (who pay for their beer with change) and your fishing buddies who just rolled in from a morning of fishing in the Snowy Range, you really need to be pulling out ice cold cans of cheap beer from the foam cooler.

After going to Safeway liquor in Laramie and buying more 30 packs of Keystone Light than I care to admit (we bought enough to get a free pony keg), I never want to go back. :)
