This is going to be a good day for Cowboy basketball. Excited for the future!

Solidifying the foundation with another nice recruiting class. Eric Turner says Wyoming is still in the running ( ;) ), but based on comments from Papa Shy last night in one of his interviews, there will be another prospect coming in this weekend with his Mom. Potential for a fifth schollie to be handed out shortly. We'll see.

Conway is going to be the guy that takes over for Nance as our ambassador for the University. Larry has been a great help in getting recruits excited about Wyoming, and Austin has been a big help in getting the rest of this year's class. I'm excited to see this kid on the court!

Totally agree. Let's hope Austin can help Coach Shy land some top talent from Colorado in the near future.

I love this kid's attitude both on and off the court.....Wyoming has signed an absolute winner. It will be fun to watch him torch the opposition for 4 years. A great kid in a great program.

Colorado PG Austin Conway commits to Wyoming hoops

Austin Conway is heading north.

Conway -- a 5-foot-10, 165-pound point guard -- verbally committed to play at Wyoming on Tuesday night.

"Long process but made my decision I'm blessed excited and thankful to call myself a cowboy #Wyo thank you to every one who helped me get here," Conway tweeted.

The Overland High School standout averaged 10.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.2 steals per game as a junior in 2013-14. He also had scholarship offers from Indiana, Rice and Nebraska.

Slow going today? 1 of 4 have turned in their NLI - at this point?

Anyone concerned - or is this typical for hoops NLI day?

And here's the prospect:

Junior college guard Morris Marshall taking an official visit to Wyoming

Larry Shyatt has one available scholarship in the 2014-15 recruiting class, and Wyoming's head basketball coach may be close to finding the right player to fill it.

Morris Marshall -- a 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard who plays for Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida -- will take an official visit to Laramie this weekend.

A sophomore at Santa Fe College, Marshall earned first team all-conference honors in his freshman season in 2013. Through four games this season, the explosive guard is averaging 19 points, six rebounds and three assists per game. He is currently shooting 43.8 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from behind the arc and 80 percent from the free throw line.

Rivals three-star as a HS senior. Here are some 2012 comments from Eric Bossi:

Marshall hopes for big year

With his senior season only a few months away, 6-foot-3 wing Morris Marshall is hoping to finish his high school career in style. If Saturday was a preview to his season, then the high-flyer from Lake City (Fla.) Columbia is priming himself for a strong finish.

One of the best athletes in the event, Morris is a big-time finisher in transition who was knocking down 15-20 foot jump shots. He looks to have improved his handle some, and he's got the ability to put the ball on the floor.

A good student with a 2.9 core GPA and a qualifying ACT score, Marshall is ready to go academically. Now it's just a matter of catching the right school's eye.

Morris Marshall is hoping his recruitment picks up soon.
"It's been pretty quiet right now," said Marshall. "I've got Seton Hall and Central Florida on me some. I hope more schools will recruit me."
