So does all of these fanduel and fantasykings ads that bombard my TV every weekend. It's illegal to play both of these in Arizona. Just out of curosity, has anyone of you ever won money on these sites?

I don't play it but I have a friend who won $10,000 playing it last year.

It just feels like it has scam written all over it!

I don't know if it is a scam. I think it's kinda legit.

I think it's essentially Fantasy Football and gambling combined.

Not sure but I think it works like this:

Pay X amount of dollars. Let's say 20.
Draft your team with that 20.
Aaron Rodgers costs 5 bucks or something. Obviously more than Tyrod Taylor or Ryan Tannehill.
Buy your WR's. Demaryius Thomas and Calvin Johnson would cost more than Robert Herron or somebody else low level.
Same thing with your RBs and TE's etc.

Each player earns you money with their fantasy points.

All your players have a good day, you spent 20 bucks drafting, win 50 bucks via their production, and have a net gain of 30 bucks.

I don't know if that is how it actually works, just what I have gathered from the sports radio guys here in Oregon.

The radio guys (both local and national) talk about it. The local guys talk about how they did over the weekend.

I've looked into DraftKings, it seems like the money you buy in with is just for how much you get back. Everyone then has the same "salary cap" and all the players are worth different amounts. Adrian Peterson might be $7500 where someone like Luke McCown is $500. Then it seems like you're right about basically so many fantasy points gets you a dollar. And DraftKings has games down to $3 buy in. Up to hundreds.

Watch out for these:

The thing with all of these sites is that they take a pretty hefty percentage of every buy-in right off the top.

Typically they take 10-20% off the top of every tournament, so you have to win at a pretty spectacular rate just to beat the vig.

Pretty much only hardcore gamblers win big. People that spend thousands on buy ins every week and submit hundreds of roster combos. You could get lucky, but not likely with degenerate gamblers trying to make a living off of Fanduel or Draftkings.

Made 100 bucks last week on Draaftkings. I decided to give it a try this year. put 100 dollars in and play that for the season. I now have 130 dollars so I was down quite a bit before I won this week. Its fun to mess around with but your chances of winning big money are slim(obviously). We'll see if its something I continue to do after this year but so far I've had fun with it.

Want a tip, little known Yahoo Daily Fantasy has had a payout of $1 million and a combined pay-in of around $750,000 for the first 4 weeks of the season. Yes, that means the average player should make money. I did pretty decent the first 4 weeks.

...although the executives at Yahoo! must have discovered this ridiculously generous payout and have lowered it to $750,000 for this week.

Nice. But she needs bigger boobs. She'll end up getting a boobjob within 2-3 years. Safest bet ever, in my opinion.
