Kongbo Was Looking For Bigger and Better

Sorry about that... to paraphrase and not get in trouble with rivals "I had not played a lot of football and I realized I was pretty good; so I decided that if I left Wyoming I might get a shot to play at somewhere I actually wanted to."

Nice. Come on Karma...win another one. Undefeated so far.

"And the coaches never made me feel comfortable" which I will say is about the opposite of what any other player has said.

I usually try and give benefit of the doubt... but, if this is true, then I guess you can include me with those who aren't comfortable with him. He isn't welcome. Good riddance.

Wow. He isn't the first UW player to say something like that...but it may cost him an opportunity down the road.

Not sure if you're quoting Kongbo or Tyran Finley...

Ill second this.
If a kid wants to be closer to family or just doesn't feel he fits in for whatever reason, I can live with that. But those kinds of comments? Why even commit here in the first place? Go JUCO or something if you aren't getting the offers you want. To disparage a school for giving you a schollie, free education, room and board, and other such stuff? Get out of here.

Pretty sure he isn't the only one that has said this. Look no further than a juco DE that was brought in.

Let me rephrase, that is the opposite of what we've been hearing from recruits/commits on their visits. So where's the disconnect?

What have players in the program said? Look at the rate of attrition. Something is going on.

1-7. That is what is going on. Tough times in the locker room. But I know (for a fact...from players) that the guys playing their tales off, are still ALL IN. They love the coaches. They love UW football. Guys like Wingard and Gentry and Eddie know the future will be better. Bless them for sacrificing all they have now, for the better of the program later. Some players have valid excuses, sure, but guys like Tanner Simpson would give anything to strap on that helmet and have a longshot of winning the game, just to play for the Pokes. The attrition, thus far, has been little impact to the team. Walk-ons, etc. Sucks to lose them, but this is normal. In fact, I am more surprised that more people have not left. If anything this is a testament to the coaches and current players for keeping this very rocky ride together.

Just from what I see with other programs I don't feel Wyoming's attrition rate is any higher than the average?! It would be interesting to see our numbers comparatively to other MWC teams or College football as a whole.

Expand your range of attrition to since Bohl arrived. It definitely has had an impact on the program. Not talking about walk-ons.

I don't have the exact numbers, but who has left that has been detrimental to the team?

I agree with above. Attrition is so normal.
