and that Vigen got "mad" at him. IMO the offense would run better if they just drew up plays in the dirt in the huddle. It's discouraging that the players can see things better than the coaches.
You’ve let beating some crappy teams cloud your judgement and suppress your rage. You’ll come to your senses... :lol:laxwyo said:I’m surprised you guys can make it through the day with the hard on you have for Vigen

You’re right, we’re one OC away from a national championship

Heh..so good. Any day now it will be revealed that Vigen is actually a deep cover sleeper agent planted with the Wyoming football program. His final goal is, as yet, unknown, but the next step of the diabolical plan set in place by his freedom hating masters back in Provo-stan is the complete devastation of the cowboy football program.

Yeah. Not sure why people think this is OK. :roll:ragtimejoe1 said:Sub-100 offenses 4 out of 5 years and facing a very weak sos.
I'm not sure how people defend that as acceptable.
Dog puke. Imagine what we could do with an average offense. 9 wins probablyWyomingAg said:Through all games so far, our offense is still ranked 121 of 129 teams in total offense, even with the "better" output the last 3 games. I would fully expect we finish in the bottom 10 this year.
Also still bottom 25 in 3rd down conversions, bottom 10 in first downs, bottom 10 in passing offense. Red zone offense we are actually above 100 at a mediocre 78th (but it looks fantastic compared to all the other offensive rankings). Bottom 10 in scoring offense.
Our "bread and butter" rushing offense is 52nd in the nation.
Nothing in there to me is screaming a great offense. Also keeping in mind vigen is overall in charge of the offense, in his 5th year here with all his own recruits and player development.
My opinion is he is failing at his job whether it be through recruiting, player development, play calling, scheme, training, what have you. I hope we see a change up, someone new can't do much worse.

How do you consider it a "very weak sos"?
All 6 losses to bowl teams. Maybe 5 of them end up ranked.
Wazzu, Missouri, Boise, utah st, Fresno. That's 5 good teams. Missouri is finishing strong, cougs are a top 5 team in the country and usu/Boise/Fresno is a really solid group. What 30 something and 5

I haven't done the calculations, but I'd bet offensive stats would look way worse if only including games agsinst teams ranked above 60 or so.

Which would be completely predictable....would you expect to be better or worse in games against better competition?

Umm. That's the point. I think Vigen is fine against the bottom end of FBS. If that is where we want to be, then, yeah, Vigen will work.

Soo..... Your contention is that we should find somebody who has a game plan that works equally well no matter the caliber of opponent? I'd like a solid gold toilet as long as we are dreaming..lol.
I'm mostly taking issue with the statement...." I'd bet offensive stats would look way worse if only including games agsinst teams ranked above 60 or so." Does any team in the land not also follow this trend?
