Josh Allen Gets the Start!

With a better arm, I wonder if the offensive gameplan will shift at all.

Not a bit, they'll still be a run first team, as comments by Bohl and Vigen earlier this week indicate. Once we start running that ball better it'll open up the passing game...we're smashmouth, so everyone oughta get used to it cause it ain't changing anytime soon.

It's obvious this team and program are rebuilding. Drives me nuts when that is the case, but a team starts a Sr. QB. Hard to build continuity like that. I hope Josh seizes this opportunity.

At the very least, this will be a good experience even if Coff takes back over.

I think it will still be run heavy, but if you were to switch it up, would you tell the world before kickoff?

We don't owe the world anything - the world gets nothing from us.

Good move!

And Dino, there is a difference between a gameplan and a team's identity.
Our team's identity may never change under Bohl, but to imply that the gameplan will always be the same is kind of short-sighted.

What if we can not run the ball no matter what against a team, but our QB and WRs can destroy the secondary? You think we should run it and run it some more so we are in 3rd and long all game? Or do we play to our strengths? Maybe the next game we are missing some O-Lineman, and don't have the ability to run the ball the way we want? We don't deviate at all?

The team will build and focus on being a power run team, but a gameplan and team identity aren't the same thing.

All I know is the DBs better get their shit together and strap it on because EMU runs a very potent offense that puts up a lot of points!

Whats the word on the injury? Will he miss extended time or just a one game at a time? If this turns into a nagging injury, he may not play again...
