I also think that Burman is a weak AD. I think if there was a President right now, Burman would be feeling the heat.

1. Understatement of the Century.

2. If there was a President right now, Burman would be listing his house. Not kidding.
Correction. If there was a President Sternberg, Burman would be listing his house

Wyoming: Don't expect Jeff Tedford to jump quickly in regards to Wyoming. If Fresno State head coach Tim DeRuyter emerges in the search at Washington or Wake Forest, Tedford would likely be a strong candidate to replace DeRuyter at Fresno State.

I figured this would happen. Tedford isn't stupid and he might wait to see if the Fresno St. job opens up. I know for sure that DeRuyter will not be a coach at Washington but I am sure there will be plenty of opportunities for him at other places.

How many of them will be better jobs than Fresno though? Wake Forest? Any others? I tend to think Washington is the only job open or likely to be open that DeRuyter would realistically want.

Yeah DeRuyter might want Washington but Washington I don't think wants him. I am in seattle obviously and listen to the Husky sports radio stations all day long in my car while i'm out and about and they are throwing names out to replace Sark and DeRuyter's name hasn't been one of them.

They mentioned Pinkel since he has ties to the area but then said he is 61 so that probably won't happen and then they were talking about the Standford defensive coordinator and Chris Petersen and a couple of other guys I can't remember off the top of my head. DeRuyter never got mentioned. The Washington AD is from LSU so he knows big time football and with the tradition up here I think they will go for someone with more name recognition.

From what I've read on a few insider forums on Scout.com sites, Nussmeier is UW's only real option. They've been told no by Petersen, Wilcox, you name it. Backed into a corner where they may be forced to hire a non-big name guy. Its Nussmeier, or things could get ugly. Like UCLA hiring Jim Mora Jr. as their 8th option ugly.

If this is indeed Tedford's stance, I think we should be looking at our #2 option.

Who is Option # 2?

Bohl isn't interested so...

I don't know who Burman has on his list.

Knowing that dipshit, he'll hire someone no one has heard of.

I have a suspicion that Ted Gilmore is one of the people getting an interview, with Tedford supposedly being another one. I have no idea on the third, but that is just my guess, nothing to base that on just a hunch.

No idea who #2 is. Media would have us think its Fritz. But yeah, I hope Burman is proactive, cause it sounds like Tedford will hold his hand for awhile.

I am hearing that Stu Podasso is the #2 guy on the list.
Not familiar with him.

All of his info is on the very first post of the 2nd page of this thread. I think you will be impressed. :thumb:
It really didn't say much of anything except a couple people hope to wake up to him coming here from some community college.

Now reading Wilcox may end up the Washington coach after all. USC doesn't want to pay huge buy out.
