I'm guessing Lax didn't know Driskel is the current Florida player. That's why he said the thing about Coffman starting games.

CSU basketball seems to be doing fine with this method.

Or Iowa state hoops does the same thing, and they were sweet 16 last year and tourney the last 4 or so. One example of making transfers work out for football would be Gary Anderson. He had a lot of transfers his last two years at USU. Another one of the reasons he left Wisconsin was the difficulty at getting transfers in to school there.
