Woods will be back before the season starts. I still like Overstreet over him. CJ is out for the year, really need a receiver or two to step up big time.

CJ led the team in drops last year...just sayin. Will time off fix that?

Hopefully. He did begin to fix the drops issue in the second half of last season. Outside of Conway, he was the only receiver that could create any separation last year. We really need Okwoli and Price to step it up.

Yeah, hope Woods proves me wrong, but I was kind of looking forward to Vigen having no choice but to make Overstreet the bellcow. Woods' 2017 YPC number was very bad.

They can't keep rolling with woods, can they? Oh wait Vigen is the ultimate decision maker

I would. Woods was switched to RB really late in the fall last year and didn't have the time to be properly prepared for the position (it was evident in some of his decisions). Woods tends to fall forward and get the extra yard. I really like his upside as a first and second down banger for 4-5 yards a carry.

Watching him play hot potato as he ran out the back of the end zone against Iowa is hard to forget

Does your distaste of Vigen affect your day-to-day life? Seems to be the #1 thing on your mind at all times.

We all saw Woods' potential last year as a true freshman... I don't see how having him and Overstreet available is anything but a positive.

from what I remember he did the exact opposite. Never broke a tackle or fell forward. He had like two good runs where my grandmother could have taken it to the house.

LOL, totally. yes. But for real, he wasted Josh Allen. He played Woods over Overstreet/Evans/anyone. He should have been gone or demoted. I don't anticipate anything good on the offensive side of the ball while he's still calling plays

Well, the defense will get to rest for four plays before they go back on the field.

Yeah, that was my EXACT criticism of him. He always ran upright and would get tackled backwards whereas Overstreet was the one who would always gain the extra yards by lowering his shoulders and using his size.

That was Overstreet.

His upright running style made it look like that but rewatch the games and see where first contact was and where the ball was spotted. If Woods develops the feel of where the hole is likely to open up (this comes with experience), he will be a monster in my opinion. My criticism of Woods was that he just didn’t have the feel of where the hole would open up or he would be way late getting there...this comes with experience.

No it wasn’t.

I hope you’re right. The coaches seem to love him.

I heard mike green is out of the program. He never really got a chance. Saw plenty of woods though

Woods did great against Hawaii, and that is about it. He was a great receiving threat but KO had a full yard more per carry right? Overstreet came on at the end of the season (only offensive player to show up vs SJSU). The 19 yards rushing against CSU, 19 in the bowl, and the 25 yard game vs UNM were hard games to watch. He has a lot of upside, but it was obvious that Overstreet was the better option the last quarter of the year. You would think that the CSU game, SJSU game, and the bowl game would give Overstreet the inside track to starting.

Hopefully, one of the new guys shows us some Hill as a freshmen. We need a 2nd guy behind or equal to Overstreet. Overstreet hasn’t stayed very healthy yet so we definitely need another option
