I am a perpetual tourist in the beautiful state of Wyoming. I have been there at least twice a year for the last 11 or 12 years (the last time in December).

My favorite place to eat, anywhere in the United States, is Nora's in Wilson... I think I have actually dreamed about her food. But I have other favorites too… that lil diner in Dubois with the best chocolate chip pancakes in the world, that lil hot dog place in Cody, and the Little Bear Inn in Cheyenne... mmm!!

I will be back in August. What are your food favorites? Where should I go in what town, and what should I get? TIA!!

Svilar's in Hudson, WY. Best damn salad dressing ever and a T-bone that only Thor himself could finish!

My mom used to love the milkshakes at Yellowstone Drug in Shonshoni but that place closed down about 2-3 years ago.

they still have a location in casper.....same shakes as they always had but when you're not in that old building you realize how crappy those shakes were

however....while driving through shoshoni 2 weeks ago i noticed that someone is renovating that place into a "soda shop"

Might have to tell my mother about this. We'll be driving thru Shoshoni in late July so.....

Do you by any chance get the address in Shoshoni of this new "soda shop"?

Butch's Place in Kirby has some awesome food, and I always try to get out there when visiting family in Thermopolis.

This x1000. I try to go here every time I'm back in Worland... only place in Hot Springs County where you'll find bull fries on the menu.

Bull fries? Never heard of that before.

Only ate once in Thermop and that was at the Thermopolis Cafe for breakfast during Thanksgiving in 2009. Good breakfast. Had a really meaty omlette. Think it was the Thermopolis Omlette.

Now I remember what they are. I had forgotten someone mentioned them as bull fries a few years ago. Just simply forgot.

in the old yellowstone drug location

I think there is a place right across the street from Svilars in Hudson (near Riverton) that is suppose to great as well. Anyone know any great places in Lander?

Nothing much here in RS. Coyote Creek is meh for the money (expensive). I still like Bitter Creek Brewery. It's a nice little place that has some decent items on the menu. I used to eat at White Mountain Mining Co but the last couple of Prime Ribs haven't been too great. Why is my steak always as rare as the rarest steak ordered at the table? I hear the 9 iron grill has great pasta dishes but I ordered some whiskey steak and I knew it wasn't a good cut of beef from the item description and shouldn't have gotten it. Ted's is still popular.

Best Burgers in the state come from Grubs in Rock Springs.
