Fire Sawvel

You weren't the only one that predicted a regression. That not why I'm poking you.

You are correct that it didn't have to be this bad.... But the way where Wyoming climbed to be some sort of Boise State "lite" was never going to happen. The inevitability of all of this is just depressing.
Get over yourself. A simple solid hire without respect to junior could have prevented this. We might not have been playoff bound but it wouldn't have been this bad.

Quit with the p4 strawman.

Never said P4... Just said a lessor (maybe much lessor) but still successful version of what Boise State does is not happening...

Who cares? You've asked, repeatedly, what else could be done and Burman's hands are tied by the ties that bind WYO. Well, here is a perfect example.

Not flaming, but how are Burman's hands tied. He is the AD and has the responsibility and accountability for the success of Wyoming athletics. If his hands are tied, then I have many more questions as to what is going on with regards to Wyoming athletics, particularly with regards to what is suppose to be the revenue bell cows...

You'll have to ask the Burman defenders?

You and I have caricatured each other's takes so many times we could probably do it in our sleep at this point.

The power he does have is to hire and fire.... That's it. As it relates to the football program he should make the best hire he can and then move on quickly when it doesn't work out. In the realm of conference realignment it doesn't matter what he does.

Sawvel believes in a pipe dream, that the goon taking snaps is the guy. In addition, more excuses than Joe Biden for all the failed opportunities to change the train wreck that he and his staff have created. He’s simply delusional.

Sawvels post game presser basically was, we aren’t good enough to beat the 3 teams we played. And because we could have never won the games Svoboda is the guy and he’s sticking with him. Im out…..
He was also very impressed with how good BYU’s and ASU’s defensive players looked when he was watching them warm up pregame. He seemed scared just by looking at them. Seems like a great mentality to have leading the team!

In case no one noticed at ASU, he had the long snapper and punter warming up before the offense took the field on each possession. It signaled to me he knew there was no way the offense would be a threat to generate yardage and score points. And speaking of scoring points, Wyoming is 131st of 134 FBS teams in the ability to score. There is hope for a win as AFA is 134th in point production.

That was one of the goals given to Christensen - build program continuity and win. Imagine if we had the last couple of coaches cursing out other coaches. It could have been a good time. As a bonus, even Glenn gave a finger before Christensen.

Sawvel probably shook up the offensive scheme a little too much without understanding how big of an undertaking the change would be given our personnel.

Or he challenged karma with the name on the jerseys and angered the 1970s football gods.

The announcers bugged me talking about how awesome BYU’s defense is. While the previous two games didn’t need to field a defense (we would have just false started, overnsapped the ball and got a safety, or other comical errors), the BYU defense didn’t stop the Wyoming offense.

Punters and long snappers regularly practice snaps and warm-up throughout the game at every school in the country. Coaches have nothing to do with that. There are PLENTY of things to be mad about with this program besides making things up.

I didn't realize Sawvel was hired to a 5-year contract. What moron gives an unproven, zero-HC experience coach a 5-year contract?? Burman and Sawvel both need to be shown the door.
Unreal. What would his value have been on the open market? Like zero? Why give him such a lucrative contract???
