For the other Wyoming fans reading this thread, Eric is close to making a decision. Now would be a good time to remind him of all the reasons(aside from brand new facilities) that he should come to Laramie.
 
Check out this crowd Eric. We'll love you more than you can possibly imagine, and there isn't a rowdier crowd at any level of sport than Wyoming when we're competing for titles(like you will be if you come to Laramie).

You get to play your tournament in Las Vegas. If you haven't heard, Wyoming turns Vegas Brown and Gold when our team is good.

Two seasons ago the MWC was the NUMBER ONE conference in the country for conference R.P.I. with great teams like UNLV, New Mexico, San Diego State, Wyoming......
 
Florida International doesn't even have any Eric Turner love on their basketball message board. Eric Turner is a hip hop star on wyonation.

One last post and I'm off to bed. This one has multiple reasons why Wyoming is clearly superior to Florida International.

1. Wyoming made the top 25 the season before last.
2. Wyoming was in third place and on the verge of the NCAA tournament before our best player got hurt last year.
3. Austin Conway is fast, loves to throw oops, and Eric Turner is a dunking machine.
4. Florida International has never produced a national title, the inventor of the jump shot, an NCAA tournament MVP, a two time college basketball player of the year, or the NCAA tournament leading scorer. Wyoming has done all of those things.
5. Wyoming is on the verge of becoming a regular NCAA tournament participant.
6. Larry Shyatt is one of the most respected coaches in basketball.

This list could go on and on, but the point is: Wyoming is the best place for Eric Turner.
 
Eric, if your goal is to make it to the NBA, your best shot into developing into the best player you can be is right here in Laramie Wyoming playing for Papa Shy. Give former Gator and current Chicago Bull Joakim Noah a call ... Larry has his number. Joakim will set you straight. Something special is happening here; don't miss it.

I have mentioned it before, but he has the most impressive highlight tapes of any of our current recruits. I think he fits a big gap in our projected roster composition over the next few years as an athletic wing that can make plays above the rim. We have quite a few bigs (Herndon, Williams, Barnes, Naughton, Moemeka) in the pipeline as well as smaller guards (Washington, Lieberman, Conway, Adams for one more year, etc.), but we are little light on the wing (McManamen, Gorski, maybe Jones although he may be more of a 4) and the ones we have are more in the catch and shoot type of mold. An athletic wing that run the floor and finish would be a great addition.

Turner has some work to do on his shot, but you can't teach his athleticism and body control. Hope we land him.
