Dalton, James, Marshall, Moemeka, Conway suspended

hope it's grades??

O/U on how many of those 5 are on the roster next season. You'd have to set that # at 3?

I've got a bad feeling this is a worse story than grades though. They would've just said that.

Who plays in the games? Cody Kelley?
 
It's unlikely it's grades because there's 5 of them. I'm saying it's the buckhorn effect

Hopefully Shyatt picks up a couple guys from half-acre for the tournament instead of wasting the red-shirts for the two walk-on kids over one game.
 
Clearly 420 is involved, how else are five players suspended? I am really disappointed in Dalton and James as they know how important they are in the rotation. Isn't there anything else they could do in Laramie???? Maybe go back to the AA and practice on their game?

Sometimes these things can be a blessing with the team really rallying around the balance of the players.

What if it turns out the infraction wouldn't have been an infraction at all if they attended CU or CSU?

I obviously have no idea what happened here, but to me there is a world of difference between the Charles Hankerson issue and the Derek Cooke/Shakir Smith type issues. They are all Shyatt recruits either way, so not really giving him a pass, just pointing out that it might be too quick to really judge these guys character.

If it was for something such as being cited for weed or underage alcohol, and I stress that I have no idea what happened, than I have a real hard time with the perception of the players as character problems.
 
Nowherepoke, agree its not character so much as it is a lapse in good judgement. We all have to remember these kids range in age from 18-20, so they will make mistakes. Big question for me is how they respond to there stupidity. Maybe thats why James and Dalton did look so sharp in the last few games. I hope James doesn't follow in the footsteps of TW3.
 
Christ, would not be surprised to see us lose a couple of these guys. Marshall has to be in his way out. Craptastic news.
 
If its weed, I'm ok with Dalton. He's so skinny, the munchies could do wonders for him. And it may be an excuse to send Marshall packing and find a senior transfer who would actually contribute

We finally found the recipe for Dalton's off season success. Steaks and bong rips! Just don't get too high that you forget to go to the gym to lift or get too lazy. Even though laziness is how you pack on those pounds, we almost need him to eat Taco Bell on the couch all day.

This is just terrible news. What a nice way to shit on Josh Adams final moments as a Cowboy. I wish I knew the details because if its weed or alcohol related/party related I personally don't give a shit. As long as our guys aren't being violent assholes, aren't treating others like shit, or putting themselves/others in danger. When your in your early 20's you try all kinds of stuff and you fuck up a bit sometimes. Part of your education. Is this really about dope? That shit is pretty much legal now anyway, did they all smuggle 5 plants back together from Rado or something??? Our the guys really that big of stoners??

UGGGGGHHHHHHH this is awful news...MWC tourney chances are officially 0 after being about .0066 percent. Maybe I should go get high and forget we're even playing any more games this year. So high that I miss 4 football seasons and 2 basketball seasons. I magically come down to find brand new Poke's teams that are winning MWC titles or wait do I need to get really really HIGH to believe this will happen. Am I already high? So confused :?
 
Don't have much to say. I have no idea what happened either.

I like to give benefit of the doubt and was hoping some of the "issues" this coaching staff had in the past with players was more from players that were recruited by the previous staff but this seems to happen every year almost with this staffs players and there seems to be a pattern developing here year in and year out. Not sure what to think about it.

If we lose a couple of players because of this depending on who they would be it would set us back again. Hope it ends up just being the "mary jane" type of deal like was stated above rather then something bigger. Let's hope all of them come out of this and take it as a learning experience and make things better from here on forward.

The good news in this I suppose if there is good news is that we aren't on the bubble of the NCAA tourney needing to win to get in. We were probably going to get beat by San Diego St. in the 2nd game either way so in that respect guess we haven't lost out on anything.
 
Could it be that they went south of the border to bang some CSU coeds and Shyatt was pissed because the Pokes "don't owe CSU coeds any favors".
