Dalton, James, Marshall, Moemeka, Conway suspended

To not give Adams a fighting chance to go out feels so sooooooo dirty. We all need to take 2 showers today to wash off that feeling. Makes me feel gross and disgusting.

I think you're exaggerating a bit. James and Dalton have contributed little. The other 3, not at all.

I'm guessing it's the chronic. Didn't Hankerson lose his scholarship over the same thing? If all 5 get charged with possession, do they lose their scholarships as well?
 
I've never heard Mary Jane get five players suspended at once. They all have weed on them or cops saw all five smoking? Sounds like booze to me. Get caught at a party etc

Exaggerating??? Yeah we didn't have much a chance to win this tourney, but this gives us NO chance. I wanted to see Adams have whatever chance he had to go out swinging. Yes James hasn't been giving us much lately and Dalton seems hurt/less productive (maybe he needed some smoke for the pain??). Fact is we need the extra bodies for breathers and who knows what could happen????? What if James transformed back into the player he was against Cal? What if Dalton plays like he has against Boise??? It's the difference of having a chance to come together and play above yourselves somehow one last time. Instead you've hurt your team and your fanbase at a critical point when some of us still cared about this season. This just SUCKS :tickedoff: :thumbdown: :thumbdown: :thumbdown: :thumbdown:
 
Honestly if this is related to weed at all and that's it then yes I'm not as pissed off. I think it should be legal nationwide and I'd rather anyone get high then black out drunk always. So I wish our players could toke if they choose. Granted your an athlete and things are a little different. You need to stay fit, have different standards, etc...It depends on how this went down but I still don't like our guys not focusing solely on this tourney right now. It's the end of the season! You have all summer to toke down....FUCK never mind I am kinda pissed no matter what. It's Adams's final season for fuck sakes man, this dude has put a lot of work in for the program, himself, and the game. I hope these actions from these players weren't as selfish as they appear to be, it could be just a harsher penalty then it should be??? I just know this SUX!
 
Smoking weed is F n stupid unless you have cancer. For Dalton and James to be so stupid and selfish this late in the season and before the tournament hurts us. They couldn't wait 10 days? Because they are not going the the NCAA, NIT or CBI tourney - smoke away afterwards, but to hurt the TEAM and hurt JOSH who has played his ASS off, pisses me off. Josh owes them nothing, they owe JOSH some F n respect, not getting their butts kicked at a pickup game in Laramie while smoking pot, rumored. :o

If I was Shyatt, send ALL OF THEM off and bring in a new five that actually have some passion and respect for their teammates and the program. We have no room for error and self-inflicted wounds are ridiculous. :tickedoff:

A bar fight and sticking up for your teammate is different than smoking pot which is illegal, period. Martinez f'd up, no argument there as Wyoming was on a roll. Wyoming needs to spend more time teaching these kids about putting themselves in bad situations now and in life as they move on beyond Laramie. We need more players on the team to "Lead by example" - Just saw Hankerson in Mongolia playing great and Cooke should be in the NBA next year out of the D league. Martinez should be the Wyoming Basketball spokesperson every year to the players of what NOT to do. Hire him Shyatt, we need an Ambassador who F'd up before and can relate to the kids about how it hurts the team and ruins dreams.
 
I'm with LAX on this one. Don't think it was weed, I'm guessing those players got pulled over in the Denver area while drunk. Only the driver had to be drunk to get all five suspended. Just guessing here though.
 
I'm not sure what Josh's gf situation is like but maybe he's soaking up all the Laramie trim and they got busted for solicitation

If this is true then they all owe Josh Adams a pretty fat sack of the finest herb ever seen after this season's over. Don't know if they could get him high enough to forget this bullshit. Does Josh Adams even need to get high? I mean the way that dude jumps it probably feels like 2 spliffs and a bong rip up there at that altitude! Us mortals will never know I suppose.
 
WyoPoke, are you serious? If true, unf@$king believable, bring over a JUCO player and he takes down a whole program, nice. Drug dealers have NO loyalty and will sell out their "Bro" the minute their asses get caught in a fire. Stupid to put players at risk, the team at risk because Laramie has a drug problem with Weed and Crystal Meth. If I was a player on Wyo I wouldn't get within a 100 feet of Dalton, wouldn't socialize with him, bad news and needs to go if true, ASAP. I hope if any players are smoking, they clean their shit up because the NCAA is going to come knocking on random drug test, I'll put money on it.

Clean it up Cowboys, Shyatt needs to bust some heads over this, literally. :thefan:

He's only been in the front range area for a few months, not even Heisenberg grew his market that quickly lol are you saying he was dealing while at the JUCO as well? This is horrible if true.
 
If it was a pot bust it should be a public record in that jurisdiction, so it shouldn't be a secret if someone wants to pursue it. Not likely in Colorado though, since everybody has pot there. Drunken driving though, that's not legal in Colorado. Yet.

Isn't he from a Denver suburb? I thought that was considered part of the Front Range?
