I've heard they all got busted with the green. Apparently Dalton is the team's dealer, and has an operation slinging all over the front range and finally got caught
He's only been in the front range area for a few months, not even Heisenberg grew his market that quickly lol are you saying he was dealing while at the JUCO as well?
Isn't he from a Denver suburb? I thought that was considered part of the Front Range?
Well yes, but he was gone for a year at Central wyoming college. I'm no expert in drug markets lol, but it seems strange to anoint him as some kind of drug kingpin after coming back to an area recently haha

WyoPoke, are you serious? If true, unf@$king believable, bring over a JUCO player and he takes down a whole program, nice. Drug dealers have NO loyalty and will sell out their "Bro" the minute their asses get caught in a fire. Stupid to put players at risk, the team at risk because Laramie has a drug problem with Weed and Crystal Meth. If I was a player on Wyo I wouldn't get within a 100 feet of Dalton, wouldn't socialize with him, bad news and needs to go if true, ASAP. I hope if any players are smoking, they clean their shit up because the NCAA is going to come knocking on random drug test, I'll put money on it.

Clean it up Cowboys, Shyatt needs to bust some heads over this, literally. :thefan:
I'm guessing that's directed to me, and in that, no not serious at all. Well not about Hayden anyway

I wonder if any of them played a little high. Most I know will smoke it all day every day.

The only thing more stupid than smoking weed without having cancer...is opening your mouth without any knowledge of the subject at hand.

Is our new nickname the Ganja Cowboys? Oh they ride high alright! Real, reeaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllll HIGH! Wait where were we riding to?
Damn its not like we've got Rasheed Wallace and Damon Stoudamire on our hands either. I hope that the stoner thoughts they get can help them think on how to expand their games and play more effective together. I'll just try to look at the positives now of another shitty situation. Is there always drama in Laradise?

Probably shouldn't speculate but makes you wonder if these guys did get in trouble for smoking ganja if maybe that is why Trey isn't on the team anymore. I mean the reality is that these 5 guys probably are not the only ones on the team doing this they just happened to be the ones that got busted with it last night. I mean if one guy gets caught with it multiple times you can just say well he left for "personal reasons" but when you have 5 guys get busted with it and you are making them follow the rules you have to "suspend" all of them and then say there will be no further comment on the subject.

Maybe none of them were busted with it and it is something totally different. Just makes you think though.

The fact Shyatt's teams keep having off court issues is what bothers me more than anything.

wyocowboy2014, you might as well give us what you know because you have dropped enough hints about what happened. It would be easier to just hear it all at once and shut the speculation down.

What does suspension for the rest of the season mean? still practice but not play in games or no involvement with the team for the rest of the season. Will they be able to rejoin the team next year? Wish they would provide more info

And what did I say earlier in the season?

What will be the downfall this year? Each year we have something...
Last year: Mono and Hankerson
Year before: Nance injury and players leaving
Year before: Luke Martinez

And what will it be next year???

Is this kind of player activity widespread throughout the conference, you think, but is covered up by the other schools? I don't remember any suspensions from other schools except for possibly academic failure, which is hard to conceal.

I'm guessing most schools let it slide

The up side here is that they will be able to complete their de-tox during the summer and be sober by fall.

Hope they remember how to play basketball.

Anyway you look at this, it hurts the basketball program. They deserve every bit of criticism thrown at them and they should have to re-earn their right to wear the same uniform that Josh Adams and Larry Nance wore with distinction. My feeling right now is that they are so low they could crawl under a snake's belly without knocking their hats off. I wouldn't mind if Coach Shyatt pulled all their scholarships.

For you dumb a**es to even think that Hayden Dalton is a drug dealer is absolutely ridiculous. Don't act like none of you have never made a dumb decision in your life. The kid is 19 for christ sakes things happen your in the moment with your buddies and its hard to say no. Don't get all high and mighty on a 19 year old kid. You all have done something stupid in your life get off his back side and start calling some one a "drug dealer" when you have no idea what the situation is or was. The audacity of some people on here is outrageous. Don't question someones character over one decision because then we would all have terrible character.

Pretty sure wyokoke's post about Dalton was a joke.

I agree no one should be calling anyone a drug dealer and I agree no one should take it serious. I also agree that 19 year old kids make mistakes and no one should question anyone else's character and everyone makes mistakes and people deserve 2nd chances.

With that said I sure as hell don't want a bunch of pot heads on the Universities basketball team. If true based on what I am hearing that shit needs to get cleaned up real fast or the whole staff needs to get out of town. There is a time and place to smoke your wacky tabacky and do all of that stuff and during the season sure as hell isn't one and seems to be a problem with this staff having issues every year with some stupid shit the kids pull.

This isn't close to the first time this staff has had issues with players getting in trouble either because they broke the team rules or with the law. So lets hope all of them have learned a lesson from what happened and it never happens again during basketball season. Otherwise it is just wasting scholarships that could be given to some kids who will take their scholarships and chances more seriously and not for granted.

Hmmm. This year in Wyo athletics is enough to drive anyone to smoke, toke or drink heavily, and why not the athletes too? I'm sure the players have expectations that won't be met until next year. Just like us fans.

Nonetheless it occurs to me, before we talk about yanking schollies and costing UW, CJC and the athletes thousands of dollars, maybe we ought to require a better reality than "speculation equals fact". The rumor mill is bad enough; masturbating the facts isn't going to help.

I am not going to question anyone's character about this because they might be really great kids but I will question how smart they are. This was a really stupid decision! Hankerson last season lost his scholarship, had to pay his own way and just about didn't get back on the team for getting caught with a little weed. I think if I was on the team or even heard about that happening the year before I got to a team I would stay away from weed at all costs. It boggles my mind why a kid would think that it was ok to do a year or two later. Why do it even if you are with a bunch of buddies. When I was 18-19 I think I could have still figured that much out on my own. :twocents:
