CSU -3.5

They have only faced one other defense comparable to ours albeit a much better version but stout like ours and they got beat handily. I think we get them. Plus their own defense is pourous. Being at home I think we beat them convincingly.

I can see them scoring 3-4 TDs on us because their offense is really good. I can see us scoring 3-4 TDs on them between our O and D/special teams. It's going to be a close one, but I think being at home puts us over the top. Pokes by 7

Basically like the BSU game. If wyo D can get some turnovers, we can win. BSU’s D is a lot better than CSU’s but our O is still pretty bad And if we’re forced to go 75 yds for our scores, we’ll probably lose.

I think CSU's d line has the ability to finally unlock Wyoming's running game. They got manhandled by AFA olinemen, who are usually in the 260-275 pound range.

I think we'll have a physical advantage over CSU's d line. If the running game works, our passing game will click as well.

I don't see how were dogs in this one.

Gambling has some weird dynamics. On my offshore casino, Wyo. is a 3 pt dog but you have to bet 120 to win 100 to get those points. Csewe was dominant early on when they crushed Hawaii and put Utah st. to bed early. They aren't playing well recently. I don' think they are as good as Boise state, especially defensively. Still, they have some big play guys on offense. I think if we make their offense work for it and win the turnover battle by even 1 or 2, we win. I'm not convinced we can run on anyone, at this point. But I think Josh can have a big night.

Wyoming opens as a 3.5 point underdog.

Being an underdog can sometimes be beneficial to the team that is considered the underdog. It can create a sense of "We'll show you who is the best team on game day".

I agree. We have been pretty good at stopping big rushing attacks so I think we can contain CSU’s. I wonder if we can get to Stevens before he connects with Gallup. I still expect at least a few explosive plays from CSU. Can our O match them against a mediocre CSU D

Call me crazy, but I believe this is the game our running game gets it's shit together. Vigen will be dialing it up, at least I would. It's time.

Ok. You're crazy. But seriously ladies and germs, does anyone remember that Nevada had 500 passing yards just a few weeks ago? We've played 8 games and can't run it against anyone. Let's attack that suspect secondary with our future NFL qb. I think we've all seen enough of 2 and 9 to last a lifetime.

I wouldn't mind Overstreet getting a few carries as long as he's the starter. That said, our TEs have shown they can catch the ball, our fullback can catch the ball, and our receivers have started catching the ball. I hope we pick them apart.

I may have to disagree that the Poke O-line will have an advantage. The AFA linemen are quick. They are also "tuned", as it were, to the running game since that is about all AFA does. So the run is their full time job and they do it well. Also note that AFA running game is more than "right up the middle".

I have a feeling the line shifts quite a but before kickoff. Truthfully guessing it moves towards Wyoming much like the UNM line moved in the last 24 hours.

CSU isn't going to be able to run the football on Saturday. They are going to have to pass the football and I think that is a big advantage for us. We will probably get a takeaway or two as a result.

Our best bet offensively is get Allen to throw a few good passes and run the ball himself a few times. Having the QB as a threat as a runner will make the linebackers account for him - and help open up the run game a bit.

They should have him take some running routes after handoff to help mix it up a bit.

I'm not predicting that we'll rush for 200. I just think that we can rush enough to be somewhat balanced against CSU, and may have our best rushing total so far this season.

And we aren't just "right up the middle" either. We don't have a back with speed enough to get to the corner reliably. We haven't opened up enough big holes to rush between the tackles effectively.

Still, I think we can run on CSU. The games of theirs that I've watched the d ends are getting blown off the line 2-4 yards a lot of the time. Any back can get the corner on that.

I don't think we'll set any single game rushing records, but we should be able to have a decent day running on CSU.

Big difference between the two games is we're at home for this one. 10-2 at home the past 1.5 seasons. 3-7 away from War Memorial.

Thinking this will be a shootout and overall fun one to watch, get to Laramie fill the seats and remember IT ALWAYS SUCKS TO BE A CSU RAM
