I have only been able to watch the games on TV. Maybe on the side the TV camera is on, the seats are filled, but the camera doesn't show this - it only shows the side where the players sit. It seams there are a lot of empty seats near the court on that side.

Was supposed to be based on priority points and being an existing season ticket holder. Know several people that "leapfrogged" others during the selection process by placing a pertinent phone call to UW officials. Know others with high priority points that purchased seats for others, going from 2 seats to 6 or 8 seats when they did the select a seat. Not breaking news on this board, I think McPeachy posted about this also. Just pointing out that if we wanted all those seats full, maybe the selection criteria and process should have been held rigid.

Gotcha. I can't imagine this is a problem limited to our university.

How's it going to go up? Just curious. I was scared that it would drop even more based on the new club level area and replacing the seats in the upper bowl. I want them to turn the entire student section into bleachers.

My point is it's sad we have to relegate ourselves to the point of dropping 5,000 seats (almost half of Moby and almost ALL of Gonzaga) to modernize ourselves and make it so we feel "fuller" most of the time.
I never thought in my lifetime that we'd have an arena that holds just a little more that equal to CSU.
I continually watch program after program build and build bigger, while we continue to take seats away from both our football stadium and our Arena.
When the project came out the arena was supposed to be 12,000 still. Now we're hearing 10,000 to 10,500!
I'm definitely glad to know I'm not the only one that this bothers.
