The point of the map is that although Wyo has been sub-par on a competitive level in this generation (after 2000), and Boise State has been in the conversation nationally in this generation - Wyoming is a passionate school about it's Cowboys. Beaver, you've got to calm down and look at the facts. Boise State has had the run of the table and they are not much further than we are in fan support in the region. The Pokes have been out of contention for nearly 3 decades on the field, and we still rate as a considerable force in the Rocky Mountains. Winning on a consistent basis will solve so many things, and until that day comes we are who we are.
If Bohl has done it elsewhere at a place like Fargo, then we have a legitimate chance to win a MWC and that is the bar we need to surpass. The bullshit bowls we've played in aren't worth a damn, and to even be relevant we must win this league however lousy the league is in it's present state. Remember back a few years ago when it felt we were heading somewhere with Christensen? It never materializes when coaching staff changes, and kids look elsewhere for the type of program they can be successful in. As hard as it is to admit we are at the bottom of the feed chain, grasping for any nugget of survival and until we move consistently in the right direction we have to work hard to get there. Bitching, complaining and offering only summary observations on how shitty we are helps no one. Not the kids, the Coach's or the program. So, get real and start talking up how great the program can be to those whom you can affect in your circle of influence. We need to stay the course and do what we can to gain momentum. The board is a place to voice our frustration and I for one feel that often. However, I always talk affectionately of UW, it's lore and beauty outside of the great state of Wyo. Its my place, and it's something special at the War or AA on Saturday.
